Hello everyone. Now, the district where I live is holding Loy Krathong Festival in many places. Many places in our district are decorated with Lanna-style cloth lanterns or Lanna-style paper lanterns or long Lanna-style square flags or small multi-colored triangular flags. And some places begin holding Loy Krathong Festival before Monday, November 27, which is Loy Krathong Day in Thailand. But the event is held at night. There are many shops, shows, concerts, a small amusement park and turn on the cloth lantern or paper lantern shines beautifully at the event. Unfortunately, at night me and my wife were unable to go to the event. We have to take care of our son (autistic). The boy doesn't like loud noises and lots of people. So we can't go anywhere at night.
In this post, I take everyone to see the atmosphere during the daytime. I take everyone to see cloth lanterns, long Lanna-style square flags or small multi-colored triangular flags at various places in my district.
Me and my wife stopped by the municipality in San Sai subdistrict first. Because we thought there was a Loy Krathong Festival held in the morning. But the event is only held from evening to night. So I didn't park the car and take some photos of the atmosphere.
When the Loy Krathong event was held from evening to night. Therefore, we do not visit those Loy Krathong events at the places where they are held. So I take my wife to various temples where cloth lanterns or other decorations were decorated in the temples for the Loy Krathong Festival. There are many temples decorated with Lanna-style lanterns and flags.
For the Loi Krathong tradition of the northern region, it is called Yi Peng tradition or the Loi Krathong tradition in Lanna style. Many temples have religious ceremonies for this tradition as well. This is why many temples decorate with Lanna-style lanterns and flags. Take a look, the atmosphere decorated with cloth lanterns and Lanna style flags from many temples. Let's go.
The atmosphere in Wat Srimongkol with cloth lantern decorations in Lanna style. This temple is decorated with quite many Lanna style cloth lanterns. There are many colors Lanna-style cloth lanterns hanging in the wide courtyard of the temple.
The atmosphere at Wat Sao Hin with Loy Krathong tradition decorations in the temple. This temple is decorated with a long square flag in the Lanna style.
The atmosphere in Wat Ton Nun with the decoration of small triangular flags in many colors for the Loi Krathong tradition.
And the last temple where I want to share the atmosphere of the Loi Thong tradition decorations. This temple is a temple for Tai Yai people living in the Thailand. That is Wat Wiang Wai. This temple is decorated with Lanna style lanterns too.
Of course this trip, my wife and I enjoyed decorating the temple with various decorations in the Loy Krathong tradition. If friend likes Lanna style decoration which is unique to the northern of Thailand or other styles for the Loy Krathong Festival. Friends can come and see. I think that many districts in many provinces have already started decorating their places for the Loy Krathong Festival.
