Homemade Cassava Cake Recipe: The 4th Time Making using my Own Resources at Home

Hello hivers! I've been quiet here for a week I think because I'm very busy for the operation of my child and unfortunately she is not ready for operation this week because of her health conditions. So we came home 2 days ago and everything is fine. Today I'm gonna share something, a food that surely loved by everyone: a very simple and homemade Cassava cake. This was prepared last 2 weeks ago when we go to the beach for a sea urchin hunting and I just post it today because I was so busy for the entire two weeks.

So these are the ingredients for my recipe:
Grated Cassava
Condensed Milk
Evaporated Milk
White sugar
Aluminum Foil Container

So here's how I prepare this, let's start!
I opened the cans of evaporated and condensed milk and separate the needed amount to avoid contamination. The white sugar as well. Then I also massage the grated Cassava to ensure it's fineness and remove small ungrated parts.

Then it's ready for mixing. After the massage, I carefully mix the condensed milk ad then mix it well. When I think it's already mixed well, I added the evaporated milk. One can is so much and I just put half can of it because it is so slimy. It's very easy to mix the whole mixture when I added the evaporated milk. Then I add white sugar and a pinch of salt in it. Then I mixed it well. I think I had mixed it for 4 minutes just to ensure the sugar has dissolved and it is spread very evenly.

Then here's come the time to cook it! I don't have any Cassava cake molder so I used this disposable aluminum foil container. This is from the birthday of my husband and I didn't throw it away because I know I can use it. I'm a kind of person which is always innovative. Like I'm sad if I throw this thing because I know I can make something out from it or I can use it in the future. So I just cut it in half because our cooking pot is so little. And before I put it in the container I put sugar on a pan and wait for it to caramelize. Then put the I put the aluminum foil container in the cooking pot. Before I put the mixture I put the caramalized sugar first then the grated Cassava mixture.

Then I steamed it for almost 2 hours. From time to time I poked it with spoon handle to knew if it's cooked or not.
Then here's the final look of the cooked Cassava cake. I find it so fatty mixture.

Then I turn it upside down to remove the foil aluminum tray. And it was so hard and big and I'm really hungry looking at it.

I cut a little piece of it to taste. I took a little bite and yes it was so delicious. It was so smooth and it melts in the mouth. But I never eat that much because this is our snack in going to the beach. It was already 2 pm that it was cooked and we hurry to the beach then.

Cassava cake is a popular snack and there lots of ways it can he cooked and serve in different recipe and different sizes. I hope I'm not making you hungry today. Hahaha
See you next time!

Yes my pleasure my friend

I never knew cassava cake can be cooked in steam. I saw my sister in law cooking it using an electric oven but otherwise, it looks delicious, I could almost smell it from my phone.

Cooking it in the oven is the perfect one to achieve the smell and the color of the cassava cake. However I don't have an oven that's why I steamed it. Oven is fast steaming is about 2 hours

Ahh, okay, at least now I know that can be cooked in both ways
