Holiday in Nature (Part 1) D'Mesilau Rabbit Garden

in ASEAN HIVE COMMUNITYlast year

Day 1 journey up to Kundasang,Sabah (Part 1).

It has always been an exciting thing for me everytime when I get to have a holiday trip to Kundasang. Love going there over and over again because of the cold weather there and also not to forget the mesmerizing view of Mount Kinabalu.

It always had been said that if you are lucky enough during your visit ,you will be able to see the beautiful clear view of Mount Kinabalu.
It's either you will not get to see it or see it because somedays it will be covered by the thick clouds for the whole day.

Guessed I'm lucky enough because everytime I came for a visit, I get to see how beautiful mother nature is with the perfect weather.
Especially for this month, it rains nearly everyday here.

Our first stop point is at this view point that has toilet beside it for guest to use at a fee of 30cents per pax.
Nowadays the locals here are quite innovative to create new photo/selfie spots with the view of Mount Kinabalu behind and you have to pay a small fee to enter and take pictures there.

1000292269.jpg
Our second stop is at Peranggi View Point.
Spotted this chubby furry white cat with itchy ears and can't resist to scratch it. Look at that face. Hahaha..

1000292268.jpg
Reaching out to ease the itch..🤣

1000292272.jpg
Okie now I'm all ready to pose for a picture. Handsome enough?😆

1000292267.jpg
Another beautiful shot from this view point with roses.

1000292318.jpg
Our third stop point at this Rabbit Garden Puncak Marisini, Bundu Tuhan.
Stop here just to snap this beautiful view here.
Perhaps we will drop by here someday.
Besides the rabbit garden, they also have some interesting photo/selfie spot too.
There is an entry fee for this two spots too.
Recently I've heard that they will be opening a homestay here soon.
They even have a restaurant here too which is great for the guest who decided to stay here in the future.

1000292332.jpg
Spot a cute brown bunny enjoying the sun.

1000292333.jpg
This looks quite cute & iconic...Hehe
It's quite clever of them to built this here where guest will be able to spot it from afar by the road side.

1000292306.jpg
Continue our journey to the next spot.
It's kind of cute when you see the mountain top of Mt.Kinabalu is covered with some puffy clouds. Seems like it has a hat on. Hehe..

1000292384.jpg
Then we came across a small bridge with a small river below it. We wish that we can get to stop by the road and enjoy this view but sadly the road is too narrow and has no place to stop by.

1000292390.jpg
So we continued to our next stop that is D'Mesilau Rabbit Garden.
This is their parking lot that is right beside a homestay.
We have decided to visit this rabbit garden because it was shaded.
Plus I did some checking on the weather forecast for the few days that we are visiting and it says that it would be raining for these 3days.
So to be safe, we came here instead and true enough it was definitely raining heavily on the other side of this area.
We are lucky enough that the weather was sunny and fine over this spot.

1000292394.jpg
This is a cute rabbit garden uphill.
They also have a small cafe beside, toilet, rabbit garden and a photo spot on a tree house too.

1000292395.jpg

So to enter we need to pay a fee too.
1000292396.jpg

1000292407.jpg
Paid RM10 for 2adults and RM2 for the small packet of rabbit food.

1000292404.jpg
Saw a unique and beautiful flower that looks like a bell.

1000292398.jpg
We have to walk uphill a little in order to get into the rabbit garden.
You will walk past this beautiful garden of flowers too.

1000292482.jpg
Let's go see some cute bunny.😍
1000292411.jpg
Love their concept here for the rabbit garden specially the rabbits are shaded and protected from the hot direct sunlight and also rain.
At the same time they have all the natural elements here for the rabbits.
It's a good environment for the rabbits to live in because I myself have had rare more than 20 over rabbits in my hometown during my teenage years.
It was one of the best memories I've had in my teenage years.
Rabbits love to stay somewhere that is cool and not a scorching hot environment. They loves the grass and soil where they can dig a hole for a cool spot to sleep/chill in instead of a concrete floor. They will eventually fall sick too if they stayed in the heat for too long.

1000292420.jpg
The moment I got into the rabbit garden and sat down, all the rabbits came running and hopping to greet me and some are standing and looking at me so adorably.

They must be wondering what is this human doing here.. Hahaha..

Perhaps they are hoping that I did bring them some delicious snacks.
Most of the rabbits here are quite friendly if you pet them and also love to pose for pictures too.
Now let me flood you with all the adorable pictures I've taken of them below. Enjoy!😉

1000292454.jpg
This is that fluffy bunny who is so naughty. He wanted to ask some food from me but there are way too many of his friend rabbits who are in the way and he is being really impatient. To get my attention he bite and pull my pants from behind.🤣
I was quite shocked..Hahaha.
I thought it was just a coincidence but he came in front of me and bite and pull my pants again in front of me then look at me.😂
He can't wait any longer for his turn for some food. He is demanding it now.🤣
So we gave him some food and he is so happy.Hahaha..

1000292479.jpg
I can't with these 3rabbits who are sticking so close together while enjoying their food.
Guessed they are besties or they are just trying to keep themselves warm by sticking so close together? Hahaha.

1000292462.jpg
Besides of spending time with the rabbits, they also have a few interesting spots uphill just beside the rabbit garden for pictures.

1000292456.jpg

As you can see you will need to hike a little up there for a picture.

So it was time for us to leave after spending some time at the rabbit garden.
It was a great experience if you love nature and animals.

1000292496.jpg
Saw this colorful homestay on our way out from the junction.

To be continue in part 2.😉
