Hello to all Hivers!

On this day, all started beautifully with a lovely sunrise below. I went to the Town Hall of Torrox which is about 2 Kilometers from our place. I wanted to apply for my husband´s registration as a non-resident so he could avail of the 3rd Covid vaccine. Before leaving homebase for Andalusia, we were scheduled to have the 3rd jab but it coincided with our flight to Spain. The Spanish Health Authorities has made prohibition before entering Spain to have at least the 2nd vaccination. Yeah, we had to be vaccinated at least for the 2nd time to obtain a QR code to enter the country and we had no problem with that.

Without knowing the outcome of this endeavour, I strode with elan to reach my destination and goal.

The office to register as a non resident at the Town Hall is located vis-a-vis the main plaza and in order to reach this office I had to go upwards using the stairs of about 60 steps to reached the top... Oh boy, I was catching my breath, I am certainly out of condition since retirement, lol!

Early Bird....

The porter on the door said I was too early by half hour because the office hours started at 10:00AM... so I have to kill the time by going to the Health Center and made inquiry about the vaccine. Previously, I already had the schedule to submit the Forms and on that date , I´ll get the vaccine 1 month after which was supposed to be on March 4... I went there to inquire whether they could make exceptions and make it earlier because we will be going back home Mid of Feb. I was asked to go to the room assigned to accept my Forms... The problem was, I forgot to bring my husbands Social Security Card needed for the registration for their services and eventually for the vaccine.

I was damning myself that I forgot to take the card with me. The card entitles us as an EU citizen to get necessary health assistance from the host EU country we are visiting. And so, I went home as fast as I could and got my husband´s Health card and at the same time filled-up our Forms, photocopied the docs and went back to the Town Hall and of course, no choice but to go the steps on foot again.

Finally, I was able to get hubby´s registration called Volante de Empadronamiento (Registration Form). So I went down again to the Health Center and to the lady I talked to before doing the registration in Andalusia´s Health System. She seemed to be a doctor. I also told her about our case that we are at risk regarding our age so we need to get the 3rd jab before we leave Spain Mid Feb. She said that I have to come back on Feb 4, 2022 so she could give me a date for the vaccination.

Vienna´s Requirement :

We need to have the 3rd jab or a PCR Test Certificate as well as the Pass for the 1st and 2nd vaccination. Other wise, we´ll be facing a quarantine of 14 days.
If we won´t have the 3rd vaccine before Mid Feb. we need to get A PCR Test before entering our flight back to Vienna which is valid for 72 hours. We asked clinics on the cost of a PCR Test and the local clinic in the town asked for 125 Euros....Jesus, it is an exorbitant fee!!! Some of the clinic labs are milking the cows!!! I found a much cheaper clinic at 60 Euros, we only have to travel to the next town about 10 KM.

And so, we are anxiously waiting for Feb. 4 for the decision on when to get the 3rd jab. Otherwise, we need to undergo the PCR test to avoid quarantine back home. We are crossing our fingers!

It had been a stressy Wednesday Walk but I am still thankful to @tattoodjay for initiating this fun challenge..I know this is a late submission, sorry. Also many thanks to @elizacheng for her challenge...somehow, it made me smile since despite the stress I was able to do two registrations.

I will know more come Feb. 04 whether we´ll get the vaccine before our departure, been anxious. Thank you @tattoodjay.

The 60 steps to and fro and the 125 EU myghad🤑 that's so huge for a retiree hahaha... anyway wish you good health and goodluck to the vaccines, me too is scheduled for a booster by March.
Stay safe👍

Thanks, we have a new rule that come Feb.1 , if one is not vaccinated with booster before that date. The 1st and the 2nd vaccine will be losing its validity because they may not be effective anymore!

Quite a stressful errand, but this is life in Covid times.

Whoa, 60 steps haist that's a lot of sweat. Hope it will be alright so you can go back to Vienna with out hassle.

Yeah, I hope so too, cross your fingers for us... Thanks

Wow! 125 Euro is huge, well I have almost the same experience during my vacation last year. As I return back here in Saudi Arabia, I paid 5,500Php for a PCR test that's for a rush result (12hrs). If you want the normal which the result will out after 24 hrs, you can have it for 4,500php but still expensive. They don't even consider if you are an OFW.

I already have my booster shot last Jan-19, and guess what, I have 3 different vaccines AstraZeneca, Pfizer and Moderna. I think I'm now a certified zombie lol.

Stay safe and healthy te.

Hahaha, you made me laugh at that zoombie thingy... well, we are hoping we get the vaccine here in Spain before our departure...Yes, it is expensive and the laboratories are exploiting the tourists in this country. The PCR test costs cheaper in Vienna around 50-60 Euros valid for 72 hours.

What a stressful day but I love the umbrellas,.

The umbrellas have been put up for the Migas Fiesta Last December. The color green and white represents the flag of Andalusia.

Thank you much for the pizza!

Doing all these registrations is also a problem in my hometown. But I like your images. You tell great stories and I love that white and green umbrella.
It is always good to share our feelings and thanking you for doing that. God bless always.

God bless you too. In Vienna, the registration is not a problem since one can do it online. But if you are in another country, they have other rules.. But since we are EU citizens, the Spanish Authorities can not say no for as long as we have the Health insurance and the card.. Thanks for dropping-by.

That is very complicated. In Indonesia people are not affraid of getting copid but they are affraid of not having administration requirements. Most people have abandoned all copid protocols. Only in a certain place , people wear masks. In daily life, traditional market, children play ground, we prefer to breath free oxigen not from masks.

Although it is difficult to breath with a mask, but I still wear it. In the EU many people died recently and most of them were the ones that protested of not wearing mask... and so it is a matter of protecting oneself.

Jeez, that seems like a lot of money for one test. This covid pandemic has been truly such a nuisance for everyone. I just hope we can get back to normal as soon as possible. Keep safe always!

Thank you so much for commenting, it is really a difficult situation worldwide... and I think if many people are still careless and ignore the pandemic, then the virus will still be around for a long time before it is eradicated.

There is a lot of news that talks about these restrictions , but I have also heard that the vaccines that are about to expire must be applied , let me explain , this whole issue is to not let the vaccine expire , a third dose is very harmful to health , you can lower the defenses , but the pharmacists take advantage of the whole issue and do their thing , it 's better not to tell you more about it .
A hug

I only know that in Austria, the first and the 2nd vaccine will no longer be effective by Feb.1 whoever gets a booster jab before that date will be fine... In our case here in Spain, we do not know yet whether we get the booster or not before our departure for homebase. I am crossing my fingers that we get it then. Have a happy weekend my friend, and thanks for the hug! Be safe always!
