- Hello from Thailand! 😃😃 The eastern southern region is currently in the monsoon season, meaning it rains all day and the weather is quite chilly. So this afternoon, I made a hot, freshly fried snack. It's a simple but delicious and satisfying dish. I used ingredients I had in the fridge. The main meat is minced pork, but you can substitute with your favorite. I added mashed potato to make the texture tender, shaped them into donuts, and fried them until crispy. Enjoy them with your favorite sauce or dip. Here are the ingredients used and the cooking steps.

🥔 Ingredients
- Minced pork: 500g
- Boiled potatoes: 150g
- Chopped onion: 3 tbsp
- Chopped spring onion: 2 tbsp
- Oyster sauce: 2 tbsp
- Seasoning sauce: 1 tbsp
- Vegetable oil: 1 tbsp
- Ground black pepper: 1 tsp
- Sugar: 1 tsp
- Seasoning powder: 1 tsp
- Egg: 1

Coating for Frying
- Cornstarch
- Egg (beaten)
- Breadcrumbs

Other
- Oil for frying
🫕 Instructions

- In a mixing bowl, mash the boiled potatoes until smooth.

- Add the minced pork and egg, and mix well until combined.

- Season with oyster sauce, sugar, seasoning powder, seasoning sauce, and ground black pepper.

- Knead the mixture together. Add the vegetable oil, chopped onion, and chopped spring onion.

- Mix everything thoroughly.

- Shape the mixture into balls, then make a hole in the center to form a donut shape.

- Coat each donut first in cornstarch, then dip in beaten egg, and finally coat evenly with breadcrumbs.

- Next, prepare for frying. Heat the oil over medium heat. Carefully add the donuts and fry until cooked through and the coating is golden brown and crispy.

- Once crispy and cooked, increase the heat to high for a final brief fry. This helps the donuts to be less oily. Then, remove and drain on a wire rack.

- Plate and serve hot with ketchup, or a sweet, slightly sour, and spicy dipping sauce.

- This dish is a snack that delivers complete satisfaction with every bite. It has a crispy exterior and a moist, juicy interior, with a well-balanced flavor profile.

- This makes it a menu item suitable for all ages. Especially on damp and chilly days like these, the warmth straight from the fryer and the delicious taste will make your body feel instantly cozier. You should give this recipe a try. Thank you for stopping by.🥰🥰

Wow, this looks so delicious. I like how you combined minced pork and mashed potatoes, such a clever wat to make the texture tender and flavorful.
Ohh, it looks like a donut or thick version of onion rings. It looks really crispy. Feels like it could be a good fillings too to a bun ┏(^0^)┛
