Primrose Hill
Hey there folks! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty awesome. I got to catch up with three friends of mine that I hadn't seen in a while. I accidentally visited one of the coolest parts of London because, due to a road closure, I was directed via a different route by my satnav and realised that the place I'd been parking for a while was actually right next to one of the coolest parts of London. I don't know why I never put the two together, but that's how it is sometimes.
Yesterday was an absolute stunner in London, weather wise, and I decided to make the most of it by meeting up with a mate of mine. I decided to drive in and arrive early so I could go around taking photos in and around Camden. Like mentioned above, I had to take a longer route to bypass a closed road, so Google Maps took me round through Siwss Cottage instead, an area I hadn't been in a while, and "2 minutes", before arriving in Camden, I was at Primrose Hill.
Wait, what?! Obviously it made sense since I gave it five minutes of thought. The park is right next to Regents Park, in the same way Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens are adjacent, and the general area is mostly under the borough of Camden. Duh!
For those of you who haven't been, Primrose Hill is a picturesque hill located in North London, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city skyline. It's a popular spot for picnics, sunbathing, and just enjoying the great outdoors. And enjoy the great outdoors, people did yesterday. It was quite busy with families also rushing out to enjoy the beautiful spring weather. Can you blame them? I must have counted about a thousand dogs who also seemed really happy to be in the open space.
I made my way to the top of the hill and was greeted with a stunning view of the London skyline - I could see everything from the Shard to the London Eye, and it was truly a sight to behold. The sun was shining, and the sky was a gorgeous shade of blue with some cloudy patches which actually gave the sky some character for photographs. I shot some with my iPhone, as shown here, but I also took quite a few with a new film camera I'm currently testing out. I'll share the photos once I finish shooting the role and, hopefully, the come out ok.
I could see Regent's Park from the top of the hill, but didn't go there since I was starting to run out of time. I had to get to Camden town to meet my friend, but I've added it to my list of places to go photograph this Spring/Summer, especially since it's one of the most beautiful parks in the country.
As expected, there are many nice places to have a coffee in the Primrose Hill area, and it's always a treat to explore the local cafes and restaurants, but I didn't partake of any just yet knowing I would be doing that later with my friend. What I did do was take many photos of the beautiful residential houses. I felt a little bit of envy, actually, looking at all the large spacious homes in that area. It's quite an affluent part of town. Even the council flats looked very nice and well looked after.
Peace & Love,
Adé

The weather has improved here too and I'm excited for Tuesday up until the weekend as here the weather is meant to be quite good for me.
Those are some epic views of the London Skyline, I am excited for when I finally get to go I am hoping for A hotel for 2-3 nights just so I can explore a lot of places but also not have to rush through everything super fast
Thank you. Yeah the day was nice and bright. Today was quite nice too. Looking forward to nicer days ahead, and showing more of these areas on here.
Hope you get to visit soon 🙌
Well, I must say, if I’m ever in the area, I’m counting on you for several photo walks!
Primrose Hill?
Sounds like a place out of a fairytale, and with all those blossoms, it looked like one, too.
100%, it would be my pleasure :)
haha, yea, that's how the names are over here :)
Thank you, much appreciated
