Some kids come crashing along our quiet little street regularly, and they play a bit of a mean game, of throwing our nice cushions from the street benches, down into the jungle-gardens below.
Today I went yet again to climb into the jungle and retrieve the wee turquoise cushions... This time I found a ton of strawberry grapes! From the street above, you can only see the more mature ones, which are now past their best, but below the vines are thick wuth delicious bunches of these incredibly fragrant and tasty fruits. I filled up my skirt like an apron, with a heavy crop of grapole, and felt like I'd been rewarded by the Universe for maintaining my positive outlook, rather than being grumpy about what the kids did.
I thanked them, in fact, and thought about how literally anything can bring gift to us, if we're open and grateful for it!
