I know that many of the Lego sets can be adapted, and my brother is designing his own sets using Lego blocks and software that I can't recall the name of. I think this Sluban stuff is a good option for those who don't have the money for Lego, or the ability to by loads of sets. It's all a personal choice though I guess.
