You'd think with something as potentially dangerous as that they'd be a bit more attentive but then again it's Rio Tinto we're talking about here. It's kind of wild how many times this sort of thing has happened in the past.
Don't think that has anything to do with these photos but one bit of randomness deserves another, no? Every time I get to editing after midnight it ends up that way. I blame the coffee.
It's a sign! Not sure of what though, but why else would a tree be wearing boots? Almost feel sorry for the poor sod responsible for this, they couldn't have gotten very far without getting themselves a nice new pair of poison ivy socks.
Recently stumbled upon a British band, Sleaford Mods, that I've become slightly stuck on. According to the pedia of wikis "They are known for their abrasive, minimalist musical style" and have a certain caustic bleakness that I can appreciate. Goes well with Washington DC through a wide angle for some reason.
We're starting to get a bit of the frozen precipitation, which is always a fun way to end a Monday. Who else is hoping for a snow day tomorrow?

Thank you. Coffee makes anything better I suspect :) I don't normally edit late at night but it comes in quite handy when I do. I think that's my favorite of the bunch too :)
