Hey dear Hiveans, welcome to my new post and I hope your mood is good! I would like to become part of the #monomad challenge and have taken one or the other black and white photo that I would like to share with you.

An old coffee mill can be seen here in a very classic way and I would also like to go into the history of coffee and the mills. I think such a coffee mill is not only nostalgic, also a real eye-catcher and a great ornament. Already about 3500-3700 BC. the first hand mills were found, which were made of stone at that time. Coffee contains the active ingredient caffeine, which can also be seen as an stimulant and can increase mood and concentration. It was also found that coffee improves the memory performance and cognitive abilities in general.

Originally coffee comes from Ethiopia and in the 14th. century, coffee came to Arabia through traders. Towards the beginning of the 17th century, coffee came to Europe from where it quickly became popular and spread rapidly. The coffee plant quickly reached a certain cult status and was increasingly spread by sailors around the globe. In the starting times, coffee was considered a luxury good which was not available to the majority of the population and was only accessible to the nobility.

With the arrival of coffee in Europe, of course, the interest in coffee mills also increased and more and more were produced. With increasing popularity, new business ideas also sprouted from the ground and more and more coffee houses were built. In the 18th century, more and more coffee was produced industrially and a rapidly growing industry has developed, which of course has ensured that coffee has become more mainstream.

To show transparency, I have to say that there are clear differences in the quality of coffee. Pesticides and other substances are also used in cultivation, which is why it is of course best to have a safe source of supply. Coffee is also no longer the same, over the last few centuries the plants have often been crossed and contain other active ingredient components.

Coffee is the ideal drink, at least for me, I usually drink it with lots and lots of milk, I remember once inviting a girl from the university that I liked a lot, I told her, I can buy you a coffee, the answer: Yes, and if it's with a cheesecake, better hahaha, even now we're dating, well, I didn't leave university long ago, coffee unites, long live coffee :)

Hey @lupega, first of all I’m glad to hear that you’re interested in my contribution! Coffee is really an absolute cult drink I find it interesting to know the story behind it. Almost unimaginable when you consider how unknown it used to be and nowadays probably everyone knows coffee. It’s true, coffee can connect people with each other :) I am happy to hear your opinion and have a nice day, stay well!

A lot of people love coffee and it's stimulant. So you choose the right object for your monomad challenge.

Now a days, coffee is used in almost every country. Everyone is aware of it. I like it most because whenever I have exams and wants to study more than at night i used it. It don't make me exhausted. I remains active.
