Lace in the making.

Some plants decay in the most beautiful way. If you have ever seen some old Hydrangea flowers, you will know what I mean. The petals (that are actually leaves) lose the colour and tissue from between the veins and turn to lacey ornaments.
The same happens with Physalis - the res fruits closed in a beautiful red cage that later turns to most delicate masterpiece holding red heart inside.

I shot them all at some point.
Many times.

This is the third plant that turns creates those delicate forms before completely falling apart. I don't know the name of it. There was some perfectly green stems around, but few that dried up were much more interesting.
All the leaves looking like fine, silver jewelry.

Last photograph in full colour.
The stems and leaves both turned to this faded beige colour.

Some exquisite photos. I would love to see someone make a rose for a string instrument following the pattern of the lace in those leaves. Maybe I won't and would have to do it myself. So could I get one of the pictures for that purpose? Some day you might just get tagged into a post of mine showing a beautiful rose on a cuatro or other instrument following this shape.

Btw, a rose is this design some instruments have in their mouth. They are most common in lutes, but can be done in other instruments if a musician asks for it or a luthier wants to show off his/her carving skills.

About the plants, they look so delicate. Almost like if taking a picture could make them brake.

Oh sure go ahead! That would se so cool if you could do it :)

Yea... I was afraid to touch them in case they break. wonderful stuff!

Great photos, but I started to listen to the song, wow 🙏

Thank you!
There was supposed to be a different one here, but I found this one today... and I likey! :)

hello dear friend @ewkaw good afternoon
What beautiful photographs you show us on this occasion, they are true works of art.
Those are the things that I like about nature, it does an incredible thing, even in decay
I really appreciate that you show us this beautiful collocation of images
have a splendid night

Thanks a lot! :)

The plant itself makes its art, that's what I would call aging in style!

Indeed! They do it so nicely :)

Delicate and exquisite lace. Very beautiful pictures!

Thank you :)
