The one with spider legs

Don't the spines look like little spider legs?
Dozens of little spiders took over my poor cactus.

I got this one for the this look. Dark green cactus with short, curved spines. I had no idea how it will bloom, what I wanted is the plant.

It is called Sulcorebutia frankiana. And even though there is so many of sharp weapons on it, it is so easy to handle. The spines grow to the sides, and slightly towards the body of the cactus. No fingers are harmed while repotting and moving it around (unlike others that just want to see you bleed).

If you want to see it in full colour and with flowers check out this post.

Of course all was inspected and approved by the Furry Assistant.
As always.

I thought it was a pile of daddy long legs hybernating.

Hahaha That would be not a very nice surprise for me :p

Hah not as bad as waking up with a giant wolf spider on your leg. One of these guys woke me up in Arizona when I was a kid. During winter they like to crawl under the blankets for warmth. Fortunately i was able to catch it without it biting me.

OMG now that gave me shivers!

They only look scary. Only time they bite is if they think you are food. If they sense you are a big creature they typically run away.
