Hello again monochromatic #Hive friends!... Welcome to a new edition of my black and white street photography series "Exposed Gaze", today I have to share with you photographs of a very varied character and -as always- this post is my entry to today's #monomad challenge....

Bienvenidos a una nueva edición de mi serie de fotografías callejeras en blanco y negro "Mirada Expuesta", hoy tengo para compartir con ustedes fotografías de carácter muy variado y -como siempre- esta publicación es mi entrada al reto #monomad de hoy...
"Two children play, their dog watches over them"/"Dos niños juegan, su perro les cuida"
"I won't wet my shoes"/"No mojaré mis zapatos"
Two children sitting in the street playing while their small dog accompanies them and observes everything around them... A girl comes home from school and crosses the river with her shoes in her hand so as not to get them wet, she lives in the mountains, far from the centre of the village where the school is... Life is different for each of them, but the stories are always perceptible when you pay attention to the details.
Dos niños jugando sentados en la calle mientras su pequeño perro les acompaña y observa todo a su alrededor... Una niña regresa del colegio y cruza el río con sus zapatos en la mano para no mojarlos, ella vive en las montañas, lejos del centro del pueblo en donde está la escuela... La vida es distinta para unos y otros, sin embargo, las historias siempre son perceptibles cuando se pone atención a los detalles.
"The door at the club where Orlando was killed"/"La taquilla del club donde mataron a Orlando"
"Fidela's kitchen wall"/"La pared de la cocina de Fidela"
Decades ago, in 1989 if I remember correctly, on a Saturday afternoon, Orlando bought a ticket for a party at the Club. That was the last time he did so, because in the early hours of the morning one of the participants in someone else's quarrel cut his throat when he mistook him by mistake... Meanwhile his mother Fidela was preparing breakfast for Orlando in her wood-burning cooker a few streets away... Orlando did not arrive and the firewood was consumed while Fidela's crying embittered the whole neighbourhood.
Décadas atrás, en 1989 si mal no recuerdo, en una tarde de sábado, Orlando compró un ticket de entrada para una fiesta en el Club. Es fue la ultima vez que lo hizo, pues de madrugada uno de los participantes en una riña ajena, le cortó el cuello al confundirlo con otra persona... Mientras tanto su madre Fidela elaboraba el desayuno para Orlando en su cocina de leña a pocas calles de distancia... Orlando no llegó y la leña se consumió mientras el llanto de Fidela amargaba todo el vecindario.

The old 4x4 lies motionless in the street, vandals have been shamelessly ripping parts off it, while its elderly owner is still there with no hope of driving it again and unwilling to sell it... Meanwhile Francisco, the old retired military man, has decided to atone for his wartime sins by going to mass on a bicycle every Sunday...
El viejo 4x4 yace sin moverse en la calle, los vándalos le han ido arrancando partes sin pudor alguno, mientras su anciano dueño sigue allí sin esperanzas de volver a manejarlo y sin querer venderlo... Mientras tanto Francisco, el viejo militar retirado, ha decidido expiar sus pecados de guerra, yendo a misa en bicicleta cada Domingo...
"Old times CCTV"/"El CCTV de antaño"
"Again at Lina's place"/"Otra vez donde Lina
The old peephole in Doña Katina's door is still there even though she died years ago and her house is empty, and there is no longer any eye to glimpse visitors through its tearful lens, the "crazy guy with the camera" passes by, takes a picture and invents a strange title... A few metres further on, the pot of soup is still cooking amidst the smoke from the firewood in Lina's street... .
La vieja mirilla en la puerta de Doña Katina sigue allí aunque ella murió hace años, su casa está vacía y ya no hay ningún ojo el cual atisbe visitantes a través de su lente lacrimoso, el "tipo loco con la cámara" pasa, hace una foto e inventa un titulo extraño... Pocos metros más allá, la olla con sopa sigue cocinándose en medio del humo de la leña donde Lina...
