Hello #Hive friends!.... Welcome to another edition of my stolen stories.... As always, I bring for you street photographs taken in every possible corner of my town.... This is also my entry to today's #monomad challenge.... I hope you enjoy it!...
¡Hola amigos de #Hive!... Bienvenidos a otra edición de mis historias robadas... Como siempre, traigo para ustedes fotografías callejera realizadas en cada rincón posible de mi pueblo... Esta es también mi entrada al reto #monomad de hoy... ¡Espero que lo disfruten!...
"Elio"... (Better known as "EL Vespa") you may have already seen him in some of my previous posts.... Elio is an iconic character in our town... He arrived many years ago and has been working in his blacksmith's workshop for the last 40 years, so he is undoubtedly one of the best blacksmiths in our region... But he is also a musician, a Bob Marley fan, makes his own instruments, owns land in the mountains and manages it in a very nature-friendly way, to the extent that he has become recognised as an environmentalist... And he's also my friend and likes to have his picture taken!...
"Elio"... (Mejor conocido como "EL Vespa") quizás ya le han visto en algunos de mis previos posts... Elio es un personaje icónico en nuestro pueblo... Llegó hace muchos años atrás y ha estado trabajando en su taller de herrería durante los últimos 40 años, así que indudablemente es uno de los mejores herreros de nuestra región... Pero también es músico, fanático de Bob Marley, fabrica sus propios instrumentos, tiene tierras en las montañas y las maneja de forma muy amigable con la naturaleza, hasta el punto que ha llegado a ser reconocido como ecologista... ¡Y adicionalmente es mi amigo y le gusta que le hagan fotos!...
"Ernesto"... Now Ernesto is old and walks slowly, every morning he walks down the street where he lives and goes to get his breakfast in the dining room of the parish church... Ernesto uses a cane and rests the rest of the day, but when he was young he was always in the church and helped the parish priests in their daily tasks, he did it for 60 years, since he was a child... Ernesto is a friend of everyone in the village and is also a character with close ties to the village... When Ernesto is gone, a piece of the village's history will surely go with him.
"Ernesto"... Ahora Ernesto es anciano y camina lento, baja todas las mañanas por la calle donde vive y va a buscar su desayuno en el comedor de la iglesia parroquial... Ernesto usa con bastón y descansa el resto del día, pero siendo joven siempre estaba en la iglesia y ayudaba a los párrocos en sus tareas cotidianas, lo hizo así durante 60 años, desde que era un niño... Ernesto es amigo de todos en el pueblo y es también un personaje muy ligado al pueblo... Cuando Ernesto ya no esté, seguramente un pedazo de la historia del pueblo, se irá con él.
"Miguel"... There he goes through the streets of the village wandering Miguel... Always absorbed in his own world, talking to himself, or with people that we can't see but he can... From time to time he comes out of his universe and looks me in the eye, then he says hello, says a few coherent things... Then he returns to submerge himself in his own distant planisphere... He goes away speaking aloud or sometimes whispering... But never in silence...
"Miguel"... Allá va por las calles del pueblo deambulando Miguel... Siempre absorto en su propio mundo, conversando consigo mismo, o con personas que nosotros no podemos mirar pero él sí... De vez en cuando sale de su universo y me mira a los ojos, entonces saluda, dice algún para de cosas coherentes... Luego vuelve a sumergirse en su planisferio lejano y propio... Se va hablando en voz alta o a veces susurrando... Pero nunca en silencio...
"Roberto"... He earns his living doing almost anything he knows how to do.... He cleans the streets, removes rubbish and debris from yards, carries drinking water, sells firewood for cooking, etc... .... In fact, Rberto was born and raised in these streets... His sister and mother died prematurely... Roberto is alone in his house and goes out every day in search of his livelihood...
"Roberto"... Se gana la vida haciendo casi cualquier cosa que sepa hacer... Limpia las calles, retira basuras y escombros de los patios, acarrea agua potable, vende leña para cocinar, etc.... En fí, Rberto nació y creció en estas calles... Su hermana y su madre murieron prematuramente... Roberto está solo en su casa y diariamente sale en busca de su sustento...
"Here, on this corner"... When I go out on the street behind my house and walk a couple of blocks to the South, I almost always find two or more neighbours talking on that particular corner... So, when I say to them, "Good morning, how are you? Invariably one of them answers: "Here, on this corner"... It's already like a ritual!...ha ha ha 😂😂😂.... I've said it before: "Talking in the street is our favourite local sport"...
"Aquí, en esta esquina"... Cuando salgo por la calle detrás de mi casa y camino un par de cuadras, al Sur, casi siempre me encuentro a dos o más vecinos hablando en esa esquina en particular... Entonces, cuando yo les digo: Buenos días, ¿Como están?... Invariablemente alguno de ellos responde: "Aquí, en esta esquina"... ¡Ya es como un ritual!...ha ha ha 😂😂😂... Lo he dicho: "Hablar en la calle es nuestro deporte local favorito"...
"Sequential greeting"... Whenever I pass in front of this house I always whistle, because I know that there is a very nice little dog there and he always jumps up to greet me through the grille of the door facing the street... The best thing about it is his "smile"... Well, this little dog really seems to be smiling when he jumps up and greets me... It's a real charmer!
"Saludo en secuencia"... Siempre que paso por el frete de esta casa suelo silbar, pues sé que allí hay un perrito sumamente simpático y siempre salta para saludarme a través de la reja de la puerta que da hacia la calle... Lo mejor de todo esto es su "sonrisa"... Pues este perrito en realidad parece estar sonriendo cuando salta y saluda... ¡Es algo encantador!
"Standing in line"... As you already know, here in my village there are almost as many dogs on the streets as people... This, obviously, is something that can be negative, given the state of abandonment in which some of these friendly animals can be seen on the streets... But (and as is often the case with everything in the world) there is also a good side... And that is that many families here are used to feeding and watering street dogs on a daily basis... (In this photo you can see two of them waiting for someone to come out of the door and give them something to eat)... So, this is a lovely thing to see, because you can see that there are many people with good hearts...
"Haciendo fila"... Como ustedes ya saben, aquí en mi pueblo hay casi tantos perros en las calles como personas... Esto, evidentemente, es algo que puede ser negativo, dado el estado de abandono en el que se observan algunos de estos amables animales en las calles... Pero (y como suele suceder con todo en el mundo) también tiene un lado bueno... Y es que aquí muchas familias acostumbran dar de comer y de beber diariamente a los perros de la calle... (En esta foto pueden observar a dos de ellos esperando a que alguien salga por la puerta y les regale algo de comer)... Entonces, esto es algo encantador de mirar, pues así se puede comprobar que las personas con buen corazón son muchas...
I wanted to include this photo as an additional gift for you... I don't really have any special story for it, or maybe it is that it is a story in itself... One that everyone will find in it as they look at it and think about it...
He querido incluir esta fotografía como regalo adicional para ustedes... En realidad no le tengo ninguna historia en especial o quizás sea que en sí misma es una historia... Una que cada quien encontrará en ella según la observe y piense...

Que bellas fotos! me encanta que cuando decides hacer retratos pff rompes los estratos, te quedan hermosos
Mi estimado amigo @malos10, mil gracias por el aprecio!... Caray, a mi también me gustan los retratos, confieso que no entiendo mu bien como los disparo, ni tengo un perfil de setting más o menos fijo... Los he realizado con 300 mm, con 100mm y 50mm y hasta algunos con mi viejo lente 35mm... Me parece que después de cierto tiempo he aprendido a "pensar en función del lente" al momento de disparar... ¡No siempre funciona, pero algo se hace!... ;)

Aquí en Vigo disfrutarías haciendo este tipo de fotos, yo no me atrevo a tomarle fotos las personas, no se si les gustaría, hay tanta gente mayor que seguro se sentirían invadidos.

Ahhh... Amiga @mballesteros, muchas gracias por tu aprecio y tu visita... He tenido el placer de conversar con amigos que han visitado Vigo y otros rincones de la fabulosa Galicia española y me han transmitido el encanto que les causó el trato de las personas y su sencillez... ¡Ve a por esas fotos de calle!... El truco es disparar y luego hablar, acercarse, desplegarse... Inclusive ofrecer borrar la foto si te lo piden... Pero eso sí, recorre siempre las mismas calles, repite y repite el entorno, hasta que te fundas con él... Entonces las fotos serán tú misma, estarán como "flotando" por todas partes... Y recuerda...¡La fotografía de calle nbo es para "cuerdos" empedernidos, sino para todo lo contrario!... je je je ;)

¡Vaya, amigo! La foto del Sr. Ernesto es impactante. Esa mirada al bajar la acera y lo que parece ser una plaza al fondo, la convierten en una imagen demasiado expresiva. Los años no pasan en vano. Por otro lado, qué gusto leer que en el pueblo tratan de esa manera a los perros callejeros, me encantó el saludo en secuencia. Excelente trabajo.
