The carving was not intentionally made to decorate the bridge. It was there no more than a compulsion. One has to sacrifice a plank from a piece of furniture in his house to become part of the body of the bridge. The body of the bridge in this remote village is made of planks and sparsely lined with wire. Metal ropes tied to poles on the two banks of the wide river carried the body of the bridge. There's no way for a car to pass over it, but motorbikes can pass comfortably, and maybe a bit of a pleasant dizziness from the light swing of the bridge body. While enjoying the surrounding scenery is just for pedestrians, others can't do that. "Destiny is all!" (quoting from The last kingdom).😉
