Monomad Challenge - Everyday life in the city

Hello dear Black And White community, my best wishes to all of you, I hope today is a successful day for everyone.

Today I have many photos to show you, in my street photography I seek to capture the daily life of the city in which I live and I have been able to capture varieties of everyday scenes which could be interesting to the foreign eye.

I will use these photos as an entry to the #Monomad challenge contest.

Hola querida comunidad de Black And White, mis mejores deseos para todos ustedes, espero que el dia de hoy sea un dia exitoso para todos.

Hoy tengo muchas fotos que mostrarles, en mi fotografia callejera busco plasmar el dia a dia de la ciudad en la que vivo y he podido capturar variedades de escenas cotidianas las cuales podrian ser interesantes ante el ojo extranjero.

Usare estas fotos como entrada al concurso #Monomad challenge.

I will start with this photo because I feel that it symbolizes how Venezuelans, despite the limitations we experience, still go out to the streets to work and look for sustenance for their family.

Empezaré con esta foto porque siento que simboliza como el venezolano a pesar de las limitaciones que vive aun sigue saliendo a la calle a trabajar y buscar el sustento para su familia.

In the same way, this man goes out every day to the street to sell avocados at traffic lights under the harsh sun.

De la misma manera este señor sale todos los dias a la calle a vender aguacates en los semaforos bajo el sol inclemente.

A working woman, she sells blood sausages, a very common food in the city of San Cristobal, even though it looks empty in the photo, believe me, many people come to eat here during peak hours.

Una mujer trabajadora, ella vende morcillas, una comida muy comun en la ciudad de San Cristobal, apesar de que en la foto se ve vacio creanme que muchas personas vienen a comer aqui en las horas pico.

I left this photo uncropped because I feel that there are several interesting elements, such as the butcher on the left, the street in the center, the man walking and the other man with his motorcycle, there are many elements but they all show the city in its pure essence.

Dejé esta foto sin recortar porque siento que hay varios elementos interesantes, como el carnicero a la izquierda, la calle en el centro, el señor caminando y el otro señor con su motocicleta, hay muchos elementos pero todos muestran la ciudad en su escencia pura.

This city has a lot of passion for soccer and it is very common to see these types of flags everywhere and see people dressed in the uniform of the Tachira soccer team.

Esta ciudad tiene mucha pasion por el futbol y es muy comun ver ese tipo de banderas por todos lados y ver personas vestidas con el uniforme del equipo de futbol del tachira.

The garbage truck, this process is still very manual here.

El camion de la basura, este proceso sigue siendo muy manual aqui.

In this photograph I found it very curious how the two people are semi "hidden".

En esta fotografia me parecio muy curioso como las dos personas estan semi "ocultas".

This city is full of life, every day people go out to find a way to earn money to feed themselves.

Esta ciudad esta llena de vida, todos los dias salen personas a buscar la manera de ganarse el dinero para su alimentacion.

This is literally the exit from the city, as you can see we are surrounded by pure mountains and a lot of vegetation.

Esta es literalmente la salida de la ciudad, como pueden ver estamos rodeados de puras montañas y de muchisima vegetacion.

I wanted to leave this photo last because this is a reality that we are still living and Venezuela is still suffering from a gasoline shortage, there are long lines of cars and motorcycles to be able to supply fuel and there is an alternate system to say who can supply gasoline What day, for example: on Mondays the cars whose license plate number ends in 5 supply gas and on Fridays the cars whose license plate number ends in 9, the problem is that this is random and you never know what day you will get your turn to get gas.

Quise dejar esta foto de ultima porque esta es una realidad que aun seguimos viviendo y es que Venezuela aun sigue padeciendo una escazes de gasolina, se hacen largas filas de carros y motos para poder surtir combustibles y hay un sistema alternado para decir quien pude surtir gasolina que dia, por ejemplo: los lunes surten gasolina los carros que su numero de placa termine en 5 y los viernes los carros que su numero de placa termine en 9, el problema es que eso es al azar y nunca sabes que dia te va tocar tu turno para poder surtir gasolina.

I am a self-taught street photographer who has been practicing this genre for years. I am inspired by the streets of my city, but I also like to travel and discover new places. For me, street photography is a way to connect with the world around me and share my vision with others.

Soy un fotógrafo callejero autodidacta que lleva años practicando este género. Me inspiran las calles de mi ciudad, pero también me gusta viajar y descubrir nuevos lugares. Para mi, la fotografía callejera es una forma de conectar con el mundo que me rodea y de compartir mi visión con los demás.
