After a long time, last Friday I went to see a play. Not only did I want to see the performance, but also the venue's facilities since they were recently restored. Upon arrival, I was provoked to take some photos of this historic building with beautiful architecture and decorative details, and I present them to you as my entry for the #monomad challenge.
This cultural space is not very big, but it has several areas such as a painting room, the dance room, a reading room, internal courtyard and an auditorium, where we saw the play of a group that came from Italy.
Since we arrived early and there were still almost no people inside or around, my sister and I took advantage of the opportunity to take pictures. This house was built in 1904 and at the beginning its use was residential, then it was the seat of two educational institutions and it was in 1964 that it began to function as the House of Culture.
This house is municipal heritage, and according to what I read in the catalog edited by the Cultural Heritage Institute, its architecture has elements of the republican style, which emerged in the mid-nineteenth century and was inspired by classical Greek and Roman architecture.
In the external and internal part of the house there are many details that call the attention, the decorations on the columns, the figures that adorn the windows and doors, the design of the floor tiles, among other things.
Did I like the play? Yes, and also the brief "archicultural" tour.
Después de mucho tiempo, el viernes pasado fui a ver una obra de teatro. No sólo quería ver la presentación, sino también las instalaciones del lugar ya que fueron restauradas recientemente. Al llegar, me provocó hacer unas fotos de esta edificación histórica de bella arquitectura y detalles decorativos, y se las presento como mi entrada para el reto #monomad.
Este espacio cultural no es muy grande, pero tiene varias áreas como un salón de pintura, el salón de danzas, una sala de lectura, patio interno y un auditorio, donde vimos la obra de una agrupación que vino de Italia.
Como llegamos temprano y aún no había casi gente ni adentro ni en los alrededores, mi hermana y yo aprovechamos para fotografiar. Esta casa fue construida en 1904 y al principio su uso era residencial, luego fue sede de dos instituciones educativas y es a partir de 1964 que empezó a funcionar como Casa de la Cultura.
Esta casa es patrimonio municipal, y según leí en el catálogo editado por el Instituto de Patrimonio Cultural (IPC), su arquitectura tiene elementos del estilo republicano, que surgió a mediados del siglo XIX y estaba inspirado en la arquitectura clásica griega y romana.
En la parte externa e interna de la casa hay muchos detalles que llaman la atención, las decoraciones en las columnas, las figuras que adornan las ventanas y puertas, el diseño de las baldosas del piso, entre otras cosas.
¿Me gustó la obra de teatro? Sí, y también el breve recorrido “arquicultural”.
