Back in the 80's there was a movie adaptation of a Stephen King book called - The Running Man
I watched the movie a LOT when I was growing up, because I was a big 'Arnold' fan. But also, I loved science fiction. You know, stuff about the future that would be so 'out there' you almost always knew it wasn't real.
The genera; idea behind the movie was that in the future, convicts took part in a game show of sorts. If they beat the game show, they won their freedom.
Of course, if they lost in the show...The died. On air. Broadcasted around the country. Crazy right? Like imagine public executions....I mean, crazy....?
Welp.....
America decided today to 'live stream' a public execution of a criminal for all to see.
Now yes, the guy was convicted of a heinous crime, no denying that but alas...The Running Man pretty much looks like science fact now.
And go check out the comments on CBS's and Pete Hegseth's posts today....People are screaming that 'this is what the voted for'.
Of course, I look at everything through the eyes of #bible prophecy so my attention quickly turned to scripture.
I quoted Genesis 6:5 as the title of this post...
It doesn't take a person of faith to see, the world is filled with evil. But the news today made me think of some things Jesus Himself said...
If you look at the comments on the posts today on social media, most of the people making the 'i voted for this' comments had interesting profile descriptions:
'God loves America'
'Christian'
'Conservative Christian'
Now this wasn't everyone in the comments, but it was a big chunk.
Now think of John 16:2. Eye for an eye, tooth for tooth kind of thing. This is what a lot of the world thinks of when they think 'Christian'. But it's also what Jesus would say happen in the last days....
A lot of people are Christian by name only. Do they share the character of Christ?
I can't help but think, this is a sign of the 'evil continually' God spoke of way back in Genesis.
Oh wait, let's see what Jesus thinks as well...

Genesis 6 is during the time of Noah and the flood. God flooded the world because of the evil of those days, and look at what Jesus says would be the 'state of the world' before He returned?
The days of Noe (Noah) was evil continually, and so it will be before Jesus comes back. And now we are seeing first, ex army guys killing 13 people and then his execution being live streamed like it was 'Netflix and chill' on a Friday night...
Folks I get it. This bible stuff is 'out there'. I mean, there sure does take some faith with this stuff, I'm the first to admit. But you know what else is 'out there'?
Seeing science fiction movies from the 80's becoming an actual thing, where people's lives will end....On your screen, in the comfort of your come.

Bad enough for one child of God to murder and it is sickening that other children of God would use public execution as a way of...well, I don't know what? You didn't say if you agree with the public execution, did you?
We do live in a #TooFuckeh world. Not new but chaos is forever expanding so best to plan for the worst and hope for the best.

Of course I don't agree with it. I think it's barbaric and evil doesn't defeat evil.
Nothing new under the sun, this is all how human beings seem to treat each other since time began.
Only true for cluttered minds. There are way more loving and caring people than the few that cause most of the problems for less fortunate ones. I never imagined that I would see the level of hate in USA that could cause serious civil unrest. Trump continues to interfere in the election process they could see another civil war. In less than 2 years we will know, maybe? lol
The latest shooting in New York and the response from Trump administration to shield wrong doer is over the top in my world.
Care to share how your voting on Oct 19? I can be a rebel but not a separatist. Foreign interference from USA is not helpful but then, they are on a mission to divide and conquer Canada.

I am not a fan of the Canadian government. They have destroyed the country I love and was once proud to be a part of. And a sovereign Alberta would make us a much better place where I can raise my kids.
But I want nothing to do with America either. So Alberta and Sask doing their own thing, I would sign off on that. We have the oil, uranium and potash to compete on a global scale. We don't need the east.
But that being said.....Matthew 6:33 is the government I care about. Kings comes and go. All this earthly drama is nothing but nonsense and evil.
