I'm sharing this photo in response to the Color of the Week contest. Grateful to be able to participate, I hope you all have a great day.

[ Story from this morning at home ]

The chosen color is one of my two favorites; I appreciate its multiple meanings and associations. For me, the color violet intrigues me and creates a light haze of mystery. It's also the color of one of the higher chakras, so it awakens feelings of wisdom and creativity in me. I associate it with both spirituality and ostentatious materiality. It leads me to daydreams where violet represents the last light, a kind of threshold that marks the end of the visible, the lifting of the veil.
Triple Violet Today I can show you three violet objects. The pot in the background contains a plant that was given to me, and it's the treasure of the corner. My hat is a violet bowler hat, which I've had for several years, and it's my favorite to wear outside in the fall. And last but not least, there's the book of the I Ching, an oracle and source of wisdom from Ancient China. A few months ago, I bought it in its small travel size to begin incorporating some new concepts into my understanding of reality. Well, that's all for now.
