Paniqui Musikahan 2024
This happened just last sunday night when me and my cousins decided to go to the music fest "musikahan" in Paniqui Tarlac, Philippines. It was one of the main events in their town to celebrate their near coming fiesta that is celebrated once a year at this time.
Music festivals are amazing opportunities to enjoy live performances from a different artists across different genres. It is a gathering of people with a love of music. It's a really hype environment thats makes it good to be in one at some time in life. Festivals are also one of the places where it's good to discover new music , new vibes, and sometimes, discover the new side of you.
We got the see our favorite local artists sing live, for free! Just like the night was all about, they are:
Dong Abay
Dong Abay is a poet and a pinoy rock musician. He was a former member, songwriter and lead vocalist of a few bands which are now all disbanded and is now a solo music artist. I honestly didn’t know that some of the music I’ve always listened to for almost all my life was from him. His voice was amazing to hear, though it was a typical rock voice, it was hyping the people, and so am I!
December Avenue
December Avenue is an indie pop and alternative rock band from Manila, Philippines the band are one of the most streamed OPM bands in the Philippines and they are known for their viral compositions online. They are one of my favorite bands here in the Philippines and they once again touch my heart as they always do every time I hear their music, and even hard at this time, in their live performance. Really love how they can reach the heart of many people just like me just by singing their song.
Juan Karlos Labajo
And finally, the ever famous Juan Kalos or “JK” in the Philippines. JK is a Filipino singer, musician, and an actor. He is known for his original compositions and he is the vocalist and primary songwriter of his band “Juan Karlos”. This live performance is his is superb and not to mention, he is even more handsome in person! He also seems so kind and interacts well with his fans. Watching him was more than satisfying. The crowd even on their hypest, really the best!
People do specific activities at music festivals just like listening to music which is the primary focus of music festivals. People gather to enjoy live performances by their favorite artists and they spend time in front of stages, singing along, appreciating the music and sometimes, dancing, just like we did. Music festivals also provide an opportunity for people to connect with others who share their love for music. And most importantly, most people come to enjoy their life.
It is really nice and fun to be in a place like this sometimes, it helps us to breath and forget our problems even just for a while. It also almost can be an escape from the most daily reality of our life. Enjoying yourselves is never meant to be a waste of time, it is cherishing the life we have, as we all should.
