Hive: Isolation
Hive is my favorite chain.
How many times have I written that by now?
Many, but how can you not appreciate a chain that offers fast and free transactions, with addresses that are natively readable and understandable words?
On Hive, it’s easy and convenient to move assets from one wallet to another or perform any kind of operation, from staking to claiming rewards.
It seems like the perfect place to use as a “base camp,” where you keep your funds and then move them wherever they’re needed most.
Personally, I would really love to be able to do that.
And yet, doing something like this on Hive is complicated — very complicated.
Because Hive is isolated.
The tools to move capital in and out of Hive are very few, and often, all it takes is for one of them to have an issue for a user to end up completely stuck, waiting for the problem to be resolved.
And sometimes the wait can be hours… or days!
In a fast-paced world like crypto, where timing is often crucial, risking being stuck for days waiting for an issue to be fixed is, obviously, far too big of a disadvantage.
It’s impossible to consider holding all your funds on Hive if your goal is to move them quickly wherever they’re needed.
And if you don’t want to go through traditional exchanges that require completing KYC procedures?
Then your choices are practically non-existent, and it takes almost nothing to end up stuck, unable to move an asset or, worse, waiting for a refund.
That’s why the title.
Which, by the way, is a reference to something… let’s see if anyone catches it.
Any Alien fans around? Maybe someone with some video game experience?
No? No one?
Well then, here’s what I was thinking of when I came up with the title:
Does it have anything to do with my post?
Obviously not 🤣
But it sounded good as a title: Hive Isolation.
It could almost actually be the title of some movie, maybe a SciFi blockbuster...
Who knows, maybe it could even be a good way to try and bring Hive out of its isolation 🤣
After all, after the rally car, conventions with three participants, and other very expensive and very useless stuff, maybe we could throw a few million dollars into a nice movie, right?
Jokes aside, it would be great to one day see some of that money used to create connections between Hive and other chains, making it easy and fast not only to operate on Hive but also to interact with the rest of the world.
Also beacuse isolating yourself from the rest of the world has never been a good idea.

Hive è la mia chian preferita.
Quante volte l'ho scritto ormai? Tante, ma come si fa a non apprezzare una chain che offre transazioni veloci e gratuite, con indirizzi che sono nativamente parole leggibili e comprensibili?
Su Hive è facile e comodo spostare assets da un wallet ad un altro o effettuare operazioni di qualsiasi tipo, dallo staking al claim di rewards.
Sembra il posto ideale da utilizzare come "campo base", dove mantenere i propri fondi per poi muoverli dove più servono.
A me personalmente piacerebbe tanto poterlo fare.
Eppure fare qualcosa del genere su Hive è complicato, molto complicato.
Perchè Hive è isolata.
Gli strumenti per spostare capitali dentro e fuori da Hive sono pochissimi e spesso basta che uno solo di questi abbia un problema perchè un utente si trovi completamene bloccato, in attesa che il problema sia risolto.
E alle volte l'attesa può essere di ore... o giorni!
In un mondo veloce come quello delle criptovalute, in cui il tempismo è spesso fondamentale, rischiare di restare bloccati per giorni in attesa che un problema sia risolto è, ovviamente, uno svantaggio troppo grande.
Impossibile pensare di detenere tutti i propri fondi su Hive se poi l'obiettivo è poterli spostare velocemente dove servono.
E se poi non si vuole passare per i classici exchanges che richiedono di completare procedure di KYC? Allora lì le scelte sono praticamente inesistenti e basta davvero un non nulla per ritrovarsi bloccati, incapaci di poter muovere un asset o, peggio, in attesa di un rimborso.
Ecco il perchè del titolo.
Che, per inciso, è un riferimento a qualcosa, chissà se qualcuno ha colto a che cosa...
C'è qualche fan di Alien a giro? Qualcuno che abbia magari anche esperienza in campo videoludico?
No? Nessuno?
E allora ecco a cosa pensavo quando ho scritto il titolo:
C'entra qualcosa con il mio post?

Suonava bene però, come titolo: Hive Isolation.
Potrebbe quasi essere davvero il titolo di un qualche film, magari un blockbuster SciFi... chissà, magari sarebbe un buon modo per cercare di far uscire Hive dal suo isolamento 🤣
In fondo, dopo la macchina da rally, le conventions con 3 partecipanti e altre cose molto costose e molto inutili, forse qualche milione di dollari in un bel film possiamo anche buttarli, no?
Battute a parte, sarebbe bello vedere un giorno un po' di quei soldi per creare collegamenti tra Hive e le altre chains, così da rendere facile e veloce non solo operare su Hive, ma anche con il resto del mondo.
In fondo, isolarsi dal resto del mondo non è mai stata una buona idea.

Jjeee penso che potrebbe essere il titolo di un film jjee È difficile effettuare transazioni su Hive? Ti riferisci al prelievo di HP?
A quello, ma anche e soprattutto al fatto che non esiste un modo semplice, veloce e poco costoso per scambiare HIVE con altri tokens, come BTC, ETH, BNB, SOL, etc. In questo modo è più difficile portare liquidità dentro Hive, siamo uh ecosistema un po' chiuso da questo punto di vista.

Si si, già supporta hive, una specie di Exchange però dove mandi e invii HIVE diretto e puoi caricare carte kyc o comprare gift non kyc (tipo bitrefill), il loro account su hive è @zypto ,trovi più info
Ahhh ora mi ricordo di aver letto qualcosa in passato! All'epoca forse però avevo visto solo la parte relativa alla carta mi sa... ora ho visto che si parla anche di swaps e voglio approfondire un po' per vedere che tassi di cambio applicano.
