I was talking to a 23-year-old boy in my street today and he was nagging about how life has been unfair to him and at the beginning i did know his age and i was telling him that everything will be alright as lond as he no give up but as the conversation proceed I realized that he is still 23 years of age and i told him he still have a lot of time this is the time he should focus on self development because if he manage his time right and focus on developing himself rather than complain things will change for good

How did we get here?

I was not surprised because we now have all these small children complaining about life and this is because of expectation. Expectation comes from the content we consume and our environment. As I said previously that it was easy a few years ago not to have expectations and this was because you could not see more than what is around you and it would be very difficult to get carried away because everyone around felt the same.

Youth and the Internet

Youth spend more time on the internet and what that does is that they are likely to see who is living their dreams even at a younger age, they will follow that individual and consume their content daily. This put pressure on them and let them forget one simple truth about life which is everybody's story is different and sometimes you are not late you are just comparing yourself to those who are better than you at the moment.

Environment accepted it

The question is how many 19-22-year-olds have over 100 million in their account? Most people at age that was able to make so much are mostly athletes or have a very unique talent that people pay so much money to watch and if you put it in a percentage they are not even up to 1% of the world population but the environment has make it worse by printing this belief in our heads that if you are make money early in life you are a failure.

The process

We built up expectations by what is happening around us and the information we consume and the internet makes it worse because there is always a chance that you will see somebody better than you on the Internet and when you keep consuming that it will make you feel as if you’re not doing enough. You have to always put your expectations in check because it is one of the reasons why people make dumb decisions.

Thanks for your time.
