Every big thing starts with a small effort. The big breakthrough, a sea, forest, etc. All started with a drop. Most times people are impatient in little beginning, they want the rush, always seeking quick ways to succeed while avoiding the importance of the little fragments that make up success. It's at this stage that individuals groom their mental, and emotional self to remain persistent, learn other ways that work and things that don't work or may not work, it's also at this level that you build a good foundation to success.
The small drops may be trivialized, but it matters as much as the big success. It may take a longer period to build up, but it worth the wait in the end. Those who are impatient to build up the dream they envisioned from a small drop, always find it difficult to maintain anything big. Only those who are faithful to little becomes faithful when they have much.
I was amazed when my mum told me she started the huge business she currently manages with just #500 naira. She started by selling pure water, and when she had accumulated a huge amount, she bought grains of maize and later other grains. Now she's a big trader who sells grains of different plants. It wasn't easy for her in the beginning, she had ups and down but she chose to remain steadfast and grow from the little she had. During that period, I believe many persons had more than her startup capital but believed it was not enough capital to start with, or desired to start large.
The idea of wanting to start big could be dangerous, it's easy to be lured into dubious businesses, scams, and other forms of illegal activities just to climb up the top of the ladder ignoring the steps that lead to the top. Those small drops matter, they're what makes up the dream we envisioned. Start small, someday it would worth it.
