An eagle is known for its ability to soar high, but then, it has also paid more price than any other bird of the air. An eaglet is troubled daily from its nest until it becomes courageous, overcoming fear and obstacles then it masters the act of soaring. It takes much energy to strive to the top, just a few withstand the discomfort of taking that extra mile. Most people only say their plans, dream, and visualize everything but either don't take action or give up after a few trials. When heroes are mentioned they're always just a very tiny fraction from the world's population.
The word "extra" means ' you have to do more than what the others are doing'. and just a few go that extra mile. I read a few pages from a book titled "the 10x principle". The message was simple, if you want something different, do something different, if you want a better result, work harder, if you want to reach a top position, do what others are not doing. In a simpler language, do ten times what others are doing and you will succeed in everything that you do. These principles apply in every area of life, business, management, blogging, etc.
The good news is: it's not crowded there. Just a few want to do the extra, most people are comfortable with living the average life as long as they still have enough to eat. Big dreams are scary, they feel it will come to haunt them, so most people just curl themselves with the "okay" attitude. A few more others who want big dreams can't withstand the demand, some can't pay the price, while others frown at the fact that it takes away their comfort. Go the extra mile, take the risk, change the status quo, make impact, because in that extra mile, there are just a few people on that lane.
