Today new episode of "From paper to the wall" to be exact ep. n 4.
As many of you already know, in this column I show you the steps required to make a graffiti. It starts with a sketch on paper (once you have found the right inspiration of course), then personally I prefer to pass the draft digitally to do some color tests, so as not to risk ruining the original. Once you get in front of the wall the situation is a little more difficult, the dimensions and therefore the proportions change, I go freehand to make the trace or perhaps it would be better to say free spray, the wall is never identical to the paper, to the contrary to those who use a grid to faithfully reproduce the drawing, this is true, but I find it a method to better adapt to the wall and not to do what I think should be done by instinct and too mathematical casting, they are still different approaches, not there is right or wrong. The graffiti in question was made for an event, the theme was basketball as it is in front of a field, but we wanted to represent animal characters to give a sense of pack and urban jungle. The color and number chosen for the tank top is a tribute to one of my idols, namely Kobe Bryant, who unfortunately passed away at that time. The wall is about four meters high and was built in just one day. Later (if I find them) I will publish the photos of the entire side including the drawings of my companions. Oggi nuovo episodio di "From paper to te wall" per l'esattezza ep. n 4.
Come molti di voi già sanno, in questa rubrica vi mostro le fasi di procedimento della realizzazione di un graffito. Si inizia da uno sketch su carta (una volta trovata l'ispirazione giusta ovviamente), dopo di che io personalmente preferisco passare la bozza in digitale per farmi delle prove colore, in modo da non rischiare di rovinare l'originale. Una volta arrivati davanti al muro la situazione è un po più difficile, le dimensioni e quindi le proporzioni cambiano, io per fare la traccia vado a mano libera o forse sarebbe meglio dire a spray libero, il muro non è mai identico alla carta, al contrario di chi usa una griglia per riprodurre fedelmente il disegno, questo è vero, ma trovo che sia un metodo per adattarmi meglio al muro e non rendere troppo matematico ciò che a parer mio va fatto di istinto e di getto, sono comunque approcci diversi, non c'è un giusto o un sbagliato. Il graffito in questione è stato realizzato per un evento, il tema era basket dato che si trova difronte ad un campetto, ma abbiamo voluto rappresentare dei personaggi animali per dare un senso di branco e di giungla urbana. Il colore e il numero scelto per la canotta è un omaggio ad uno dei miei idoli, ovvero Kobe Bryant, che purtroppo era venuto a mancare in quel periodo. Il muro è alto quattro metri più o meno, è stato realizzato in un solo giorno. Più avanti (se le ritrovo) pubblicherò le foto della murata intera compresi i disegni dei miei compagni. Di seguito potete vedere il risultato finale e i relativi passaggi, buon divertimento.

Really like this one. Very Nice colors. Basketball theme is awesome. Like how you used purple and green to shade into the grey. It really gives it an interesting look.
