There was once a king whose name is John feared by all and second to none. He rules seven kingdoms all alone and he was a man filled with so much pride and rage. He saw his father and mother been killed by assassins just because they were also proud. People tried their best to murder him but all proved abortive.
He decided to marry a lady from another country who doesn't know about his attitude. He pretended to be a good man in order to win her heart. He successfully made her love him. He took her back to his country and got married to her. At first,she was blinded by love. But after some months she got to know who he was by eavesdropping on the maids.
She was confused and decided to ask him about it. He told her that it was true and that if she should try to escape it try anything funny,he wouldn't hesitate to kill her. She regretted ever falling in love with him.
One day, she approached a maid to get her poison to kill a guard who tried to tape her. The maid did as she was told. On getting back she asked the maid to bring the king's food. She took it to John but on the way, she added the poison to it and served him.
John was suspicious of the way she was doing to him,but decided to wave it of thinking she had come back to her senses. He ate all of it and went to bed. She was happy that her plan had worked and he didn't suspect her. All she wanted was her freedom and now she is going to get it.
The guards came into John's room to check up on him because it is unusual of him to wake up late. The tried their best in waking him up but he did not respond. They were all happy. And left the kingdom leaving his dead body alone. His kingdom was now divided into different parts. His wife also went back to her country to start a new life.
Pride isn't everything, revenge is not compulsory and those who does bad will eventually face their own karma.
