Toda persona tiene sentimientos de pertenencia:
sentido de pertenencia, este valor lo experimenta cuando se siente identificado con otra persona, con un grupo o comunidad, cuando se siente cómodo en una institución o cuando se siente a gusto en algún lugar donde es bienvenido y/o aceptado, es decir, en donde siente que pertenece. El ser humano es gregario por naturaleza por lo que necesita de otros para vivir mejor, o en su defecto, necesita de lo externo para que su interior esté en paz, esté bien y tenga mejor calidad de vida. Lo que nos rodea y quienes nos rodean debe darnos seguridad, bienestar y confort, si eso no funciona así, entonces, no pertenecemos a ese ambiente. Todos los seres vivos necesitamos algo o requerimos de alguien; así como yo necesito, también los otros necesitan de mi, el sentimiento es recíproco, he ahí la importancia del mandamiento principal de la Ley de Divina:
Amar a Dios sobre toda las cosas y al prójimo como a uno mismo."

En el Evangelio de hoy, domingo, 25 de abril de 2021, el evangelista San Juan nos relata lo que Jesús de Nazaret dijo a los fariseos:
“Yo soy el buen pastor." y le aseguró que Él ama tanto a cada una de sus "ovejas," que es capaz de dar la vida por ellas, como de hecho lo hizo. El buen pastor tiene un inquebrantable sentido de pertenencia, posee sentimientos profundos de amor por su rebaño, por esa razón, ni en los momentos más difíciles las abandona, no las desampara, como si lo hacen los hipócritas, los asalariados, que al ver la jauría de lobos, huyen despavoridos dejando a sus ovejas indefensas. Un asalariado no le importa arriesgarse por cuidar lo que a él no le pertenece, en cambio Jesús, no solo se arriesgó, sino que se hizo crucificar por el amor a la humanidad. Ese ejemplo de entrega no ha sido superado jamás porque, nadie tiene el poder de decir lo que aseguró el Mesías a los fariseos:
"doy mi vida para volverla a tomar. Nadie me la quita; yo la doy porque quiero. Tengo poder para darla y lo tengo también para volverla a tomar." Por último, los cristianos, el "rebaño predilecto de Jesús" también tenemos sentimientos profundos con nuestro Pastor y Guía, porque lo conocemos y sabemos que Él no nos abandona ni nos abandonará jamás, por esa razón lo seguimos a donde el va. Por más que el lobo o la jauría de lobos atenten contra nosotros nuestra confianza está puesta en nuestro Señor y Salvador.
¿Si Dios está con nosotros, quién contra nosotros?

Lectura del Santo Evangelio según Juan 10, 11-18
En aquel tiempo, Jesús dijo a los fariseos: “Yo soy el buen pastor. El buen pastor da la vida por sus ovejas. En cambio, el asalariado, el que no es el pastor ni el dueño de las ovejas, cuando ve venir al lobo, abandona las ovejas y huye; el lobo se arroja sobre ellas y las dispersa, porque a un asalariado no le importan las ovejas.
Yo soy el buen pastor, porque conozco a mis ovejas y ellas me conocen a mí, así como el Padre me conoce a mí y yo conozco al Padre. Yo doy la vida por mis ovejas. Tengo además otras ovejas que no son de este redil y es necesario que las traiga también a ellas; escucharán mi voz y habrá un solo rebaño y un solo pastor.
El Padre me ama porque doy mi vida para volverla a tomar. Nadie me la quita; yo la doy porque quiero. Tengo poder para darla y lo tengo también para volverla a tomar. Éste es el mandato que he recibido de mi Padre’’.

A reading from the Holy Gospel according to John 10: 11-18
At that time, Jesus said to the Pharisees: “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for his sheep.
