Earth day is celebrated today for HiveBloPoMo and in general throughout the world; I, in addition to dedicating the initial aformism to this event, will dedicate my entire weekend to volunteering by participating in the 52nd Regional Assembly of Avis Calabria.
I think there is no better way to honor a special day like this than to dedicate yourself to the other.
This morning I also tried to donate blood but my ferritin and hemoglobin values were low and it was not possible for me.
A real affront to me that in 22 years I've always managed to donate... I accepted the humiliation only because the doctor was very nice and kind heh heh!
It doesn't matter, as I always tell the kids who come to donate the first few times but don't succeed, the important thing is the intention, there will be no shortage of opportunities to try again.
In fact, I'm already booked for the plasma donation on May 13th.
This will be an ongoing post, I started creating it this morning at eleven, I will continue during the journey and after my arrival in Crotone and then publish it after dinner or so.
I want it to be a bit of a diary of this splendid day which, if Reny had also been there with me, would have bordered on perfection; of course I want to try to accompany my writing with the photos that I will take during the day, also for this reason I decided to publish after dinner, so you can see the images of the dishes I will consume.

We've finally left, actually we've been traveling for an hour now and in a while we should stop for a coffee break and maybe even a gelato.🤤
We should reach our destination by four at the latest; in the evening, before dinner, there will be a commemoration even if I'm not sure what, I'll let you know of course.
Now you continue to enjoy the landscape because you know, the most beautiful part of the journey is the journey itself!
In the end, the ice cream didn't arrive so we settled for a nice salad since the others hadn't had lunch afterwards, of course, we'll have a nice coffee.
Now we start again; we will make a detour to go to Cutro to lay a wreath in memory of the boys who died in the sinking of a boat, then we will leave again and we will not stop until we reach our destination.
I think I'll take the opportunity to take a nice nap since we have an hour to go until the next stop so... goodnight!
And here we are at the last stage before the final destination; this was a beautiful commemorative moment even if, as the epigraph on the stele says, it is sad to think that there are still human traffickers and smugglers who, without any scruple, put the lives of poor desperate migrants at risk.
The man should begin to reflect because he is making the world a very inhospitable place.

I made a mistake, we made another stop in this beautiful place, it's called "Le Castelle" because of a series of castles in the surrounding area; The most beautiful of course is the Aragonese castle you see in the photo.
As you can see in these parts the sea is not bad, during the summer season it is teeming with tourists.
Obviously, since we were there, we took advantage of the break to have a quick and fleeting snack eh eh!
This time we really leave for the final destination, we are only 40km away, we can do it!💪
And finally we have reached our destination!
From the outside, the hotel looks really good.
The rooms keep their promises, this one I'm in is a single room with a double bed and I also have a very comfortable sofa on which tonight I will finish writing this post eh eh!
The balcony overlooks the pool and is nice and spacious but the top part of the room is... drum roll!
Tadaaa!!! I have a double presidential shower!
Truly Spectacular!
In short, as you will have understood, I am really satisfied with my accommodation, now I am preparing for dinner which, given the trend, I really expect of a higher level.
After a long wait we finally start dinner, let's start with this delicious and also beautiful appetizer...
Obviously all washed down with a good wine which is white since it accompanies a fish-based dinner, the start is top!
First comes this excellent risotto with prawns and flavored with lemon, really pleasant ... it continues really well.
We also have a "second first course", trofiette with fresh tomato, mushrooms and crispy bacon... we don't miss anything!
For the second course we ate this breaded croaker and vegetable julienne as a side dish; the breading is particular because it looks like pesto, really good.
Let's end with a flourish with this very delicious sweet; the dinner did not disappoint expectations, this year they have chosen a really great place for our meeting, congratulations to those who organized
Well and with this last course the dinner and also the evening ends; now everyone in the room for a proper rest, the day has been long and tomorrow we have the assembly work.

Oggi per l'HiveBloPoMo e in generale in tutto il Mondo si celebra la giornata della Terra; io, oltre a dedicare l'aformisma iniziale a questo evento, dedicherò il mio intero fine settimana al volontariato partecipando alla 52 Assemblea Regionale dell'Avis Calabria.

Una vero e proprio affronto per me che in 22 anni sono sempre riuscito a donare... ho accettato lo smacco solo perché la dottoressa era molto carina e gentile eh eh!
Non importa, come dico sempre io ai ragazzi che vengono a donare le prime volte ma non ci riescono, la cosa importante è l'intenzione, le occasioni per riprovarci non mancheranno.
Infatti sono già prenotato per la donazione di plasma il 13 di maggio.
Questo sarà un post scritto in itinere, ho iniziato a crearlo stamattina alle undici, proseguirò durante il viaggio e dopo il mio arrivo a Crotone per poi pubblicarlo dopo cena o giù di lì.
Desidero che sia un pó il diario di questa splendida giornata che, se ci fosse stata anche Reny insieme a me, avrebbe rasentato la perfezione; naturalmente voglio provare a corredare questo mio scritto con le foto che scatteró durante la giornata, anche per questo motivo ho deciso di pubblicare dopo cena, così potrai vedere le immagini delle piatenze che consumeró.

Per ora mi fermo qui, sto attendendo che arrivi il pullman che ci porterà a destinazione, naturalmente continuerò ad aggiornarti durante io viaggio, a dopo!
Abbiamo ritardato la partenza di circa un'ora quindi, come puoi vedere dall'immagine appena sopra, ho provveduto al pranzo!

Siamo finalmente partiti in realtà siamo in viaggio da un'oretta ormai e tra un po' dovremmo fermarci per una pausa caffè e magari ci scappa anche un gelatino.🤤
Dovremmo giungere a destinazione massimo per le quattro; in serata, prima di cena, ci sarà una commemorazione anche se non so bene di cosa, Ti farò naturalmente sapere.
Ora continui a godermi il paesaggio perché si sa, la parte più bella del viaggio è il viaggio stesso!
Alla fine non è arrivato il gelato quindi abbiamo ripiegato su una bella insalata visto che gli altri non avevano pranzato dopo, ovviamente, prenderemo un bel caffè.
Adesso si riparte; faremo una deviazione per andare a Cutro per deporre una corona di fiori in memoria dei ragazzi morti nel naufragio di un barcone, dopo si riparte e non ci fermeremo fino a destinazione.
Io mi sa che ne approfitterò per fare un bel pisolino visto che abbiamo un'oretta di strada fino alla prossima tappa quindi... buonanotte!
Ed eccoci giunti all'ultima tappa prima della destinazione finale; questo è stato un bel momento commemorativo anche se, come dice l'epigrafe sulla stele è triste pensare che esistano ancora oggi trafficanti e scafisti di esseri umani che, senza alcuno scrupolo mettono a rischio la vita di poveri migranti disperati.
L'uomo dovrebbe cominciare a riflettere perché sta rendendo il Mondo un posto parecchio inospitale.
Si riparte; arrivati a questo punto Ti do appuntamento direttamente per l'ora di cena quando, oltre a farti vedere tutte le golosità che mangeremo, Ti mostrerò il posto che ci ospita.

Ho fatto un errore, un'altra tappa l'abbiamo fatta in questo bellissimo posto, si chiama "Le Castelle" proprio per una serie di castelli che ci sono nei dintorni; io più bello naturalmente è il castello Aragonese che vedi nella foto.
Come puoi notare da queste parti il mare non è niente male, durante la stagione estiva pullula di turisti.
Ovviamente, visto che c'eravamo, abbiamo approfittato della sosta per fare una veloce è fugace merenda eh eh!
Stavolta partiamo davvero per la meta finale, siamo a soli 40 km, possiamo farcela!💪
E finalmente siamo giunti a destinazione!
Già, visto da fuori, l'hotel si presenta proprio bene.
Le camere mantengono le promesse, questa in cui sto io è una singola con letto matrimoniale ed ho anche un comodissimo divano sul quale stasera terminerò di scrivere questo post eh eh!
Il balcone da sulla piscina ed è bello spazioso ma la parte top della camera è... rullo di tamburi!
Tadaaa!!! Ho una doccia presidenziale a due piazze!
Davvero spettacolare!
Insomma come avrai capito sono davvero soddisfattissimo della mia sistemazione, ora mi preparo per la cena che, visto l'andamento mi aspetto davvero di livello superiore.
Dopo lunga attesa finalmente iniziamo la cena, cominciamo con questo buonissimo e anche bellissimo antipasto...
Ovviamente il tutto annaffiato da un buon vino che è bianco poiché accompagna una cena a base di pesce, l'inizio è top!
Per primo arriva questo ottimo risotto con i gamberetti e aromatizzato al limone, davvero gradevole... si prosegue proprio bene.
Abbiamo anche un "secondo primo", delle trofiette con pomodoro fresco funghi e pancetta croccante... non ci facciamo mancare nulla!
Per secondo invece abbiamo mangiato questa ombrina panata e per contorno julienne di verdure; la panatura è particolare perché sembra pesto, davvero buona.
Finiamo in bellezza con questo dolcetto molto goloso; la cena non ha deluso le aspettative, quest'anno hanno scelto davvero un gran bel posto per la nostra assemblea, complimenti a chi ha organizzato
Bene e con questa ultima portata si conclude la cena e anche la serata; ora tutti in camera per un giusto riposo, la giornata è stata lunga e domani ci attendono i lavori assembleari.
