remembered a funny historical anecdote. 😉
Some Italian soldiers in Africa, Eritrea, 1942. They are sitting in the trenches. An officer jumps out of the trench, waves his sword and shouts:
-- Go-go! Avanti! Avanti!
The soldiers laugh and applaud, but remain in the trenches:
-- Bravo, capitano, bravo!!!!

    I'm not sure I have capit it, but it's nice as a scene to imagine, the soldiers tired of a useless war, as are all wars, say yes, good captain, go yourself.
