Being a student nurse has already teach me a lot about life, even before I fully graduate. When people hear nurse, they think only about hospital and injection, but it is more deeper than that. For me, one of the biggest lesson I learnt is that life is fragile and we should never take it for granted.

Another lesson is patience and kindness and this at times can really heals faster better than drugs and injection because the sick really needs the care and the attention. And to what I understand Nursing is not just about giving drugs, it is about listening, talking gently, helping somebody when they cannot help them self. Sometimes just a smile or small attention can make a sick person feel hope again. Before I started this journey, I didn’t really know how much impact small kindness can do. Now I do.

And let's come to Hive, I also see community in the same way. Just like patients need care and support, we Hive members also need encouragement and engagement. When we support each other’s post, give comments, or share ideas, it is like giving medicine of motivation. It may look small, but it keep people moving forward.

As a student nurse, I also learn discipline. Reading, night duties, lectures, practicals, it is not easy. But I understand that sacrifice what you really got for what you want is part of life if you want to achieve something. That’s same with Hive, if you want to grow, you have to stay consistent, keep posting, keep learning.

So the lesson I carry is simple life is short, health is important, kindness is powerful, and discipline is the way. All these things nursing has already teach me and I believe they will guide me both in my career and in my journey here on Hive.
