Mixue Ice Cream

If you've read my previous posts, you'll probably know that I'm a fan of drinks, which include milk tea, lemon tea and smoothies. Mixue ice cream is becoming a food trend of young Vietnamese in recent times. I see all my friends have taken pictures and posted stories on instagram or facebook with these ice cream cones. So what's interesting about this ice cream shop? Why is it so crowded while other ice cream shops here are still sluggish? I was curious about the taste of ice cream mixue and why this ice cream shop was so crowded that people had to queue to buy it.

So right now I am at the ""Mixue" to try this ice cream and I will rate my impressions of the mixue. In my opinion, the marketing of this ice cream shop chain is so good, they make everyone curious about it. Even when i watch facebook or tiktok the picture of a snowman with a red background always shows up, a lot of KOL reviews about this cream, and all information about this cream appears everywhere. Within a radius of 10km, there are 2 Mixue ice cream shops with a red sign that reads "Mixue - Since 1997 - Ice Cream & Tea", next to the symbol of a snowman holding an ice cream. Currently, there are more than 600 Mixue stores in the territory of Vietnam, the city where I live has more than 130 stores, in just 1 month all stores appeared and became a new eating trend of young people.
Mixue stores are small in size with simple, nothing special decoration. an ice cream cone costs 10,000 VND about 0.4 dollars. (This price is quite cheap for students). Instead of spending at least 3 dollars to go out for coffee or milk tea, you only need 1 dollar for an interesting date. Mixue ice cream is a cheap drink brand originating from China. In addition to ice cream, this brand serves hot milk teas today. Some hot teas are: peach tea, 3q milk tea, grilled milk tea, Fruit tea, coconut jelly milk tea, 2 j milk tea, lemon tea and cream tea (which is a milk tea with a layer of cream on top)
While milk teas in Vietnam are in decline and bankruptcy, mixue ice cream is still the brand that makes people crazy. This ice cream has a low price, good product quality, variety, and an innovative franchise policy are the most notable elements of Mixue's marketing strategy. Although this brand is more than 20 years old, it is new in Vietnam. They even make Mixue snowman animations for kids, which pique children's curiosity and will make them want their parents to buy ice cream for them.In addition, sometimes they have a promotion to buy 1 ice cream or 1 cup of milk tea, get 1 snowman mixue keychain. I ordered 1 cup of mango ice cream and 1 cup of aloe vera ice cream, these are 2 types of fresh ice cream that are known as best sellers. The taste was quite good but the form of the ice cream cup was really ugly, I was quite disappointed. I thought they would decorate this ice cream cup but it's too simple, the price is about 25000 VND / 1 cup.
Since this ice cream shop usually sells takeaway the space is quite small and there is no decoration at all. Overall the ice cream is pretty good but it's not so great to have to wait and queue.
