TOWN SQUARE ON A RAINY DAY

in Liketulast year

In this opening shot, you can see a line of houses along the road that leads from the square to the outskirts of town and then gets larger and continues toward Pula, the nearest city.

The small town square is one of the most iconic places in Medulin, my hometown. Here you can see the small church with the longest name in town. Is called The Church of the Mother of God of Health

This is the building that hosts the post office. And some other stuff.

In the foreground of this photograph, you can see some Christmas decorations in front of the church. The rest of the picture shows the town's loggia and some other stuff that forms the first line of buildings around the square.

Behind the large window shown in this photograph, there is the room that hosts the local radio station. Underneath the window, you can see a screen ... that shows some stuff ... never bothered to explore the thing, so I can't tell you its purpose. Sorry.

Here you can see the church and some buildings around it reflected in one of the windows of the old loggia.

This statue represents a man called Ivan Zuccon that has done some important stuff long ago. Have to explore a bit more to tell you more. I'll leave this subject for one of the future posts.

Here you can take a look at the small street that leads from the square downhill, towards the sea.

It was raining the whole day so I spent most of that gloomy Sunday indoors. At home. Only around noon, I drove to the center of my hometown to pay some bills at the post office in the town square. I live less than a hundred meters from that place, but I took my car to get some photographs from a sheltered place. After the things I had to do in the post office were done, I took a series of photographs from the car. To get the square from various angles I drove all around it and parked the car in various places. I also took one photograph in which you can see my car parked in front of the post office. That photograph was taken from a porch of one of the buildings across the square. The rain wasn't strong, but there was enough rain to endanger my camera. This post is one more evidence of how obsessed I became with photographing and writing about mundane everyday stuff since I started blogging here. Everything looks worthy of a little story and a shot or two. Well, it's a healthy obsession, if you ask me.

AS ALWAYS HERE ON HIVE, THE PHOTOGRAPHS ARE MY WORK.

Our country also had lots of churches too but the church's names are similar to yours here. Our country had a strong spanish influence especially churches😸😸 i'll stop talking about the vamps tho but your city is pretty like on the stories of some european writers

hehehehe 😄 True, the vampires feel at home here.

Hi there, @borjan. 😃 Rainy season makes the weather cool and sometimes dull. I can see the dark clouds in your pictures. We are out of the rainy season in my country so it's pretty dry, dusty and warm here.

The Church of the Mother of God of Health

That's a long name for a church. 😅 Oh, you have a sea close to your residence! That's nice. Will you display some pictures of the sea and it's surrounding anytime soon? Thanks for sharing and enjoy your weekend. 😊😊

Yes 🙂 The sea will probably be the theme soon.

You can share what a wonderful and amazing places with us. This decorated window looks very beautiful. Weather in our country is almost. Thanks for sharing this photography.

How are you dear friend @borjan good morning
What a beautiful town, I love the uneven streets, and the beautiful architecture of the buildings. A city price to visit
Great shots, appreciate you teaching us

Wow... Those streets look like a spectacular place to spend hours and hours taking photos... They are deliciously complex and wonderfully narrow... It seems almost impossible for cars to circulate there!... Beautiful post, with eloquent lines.. It's a good thing you've become obsessed with photographing and writing about mundane things too! ha ha ha :)... That's a lovely thing we all found in #Hive!... ;)

Thanks for sharing, happy Sunday @borjan friend!

After updating the app on Ecency, funny things happened to my texts and posts; I lost my texts and comments very often. And several blogs which I followed disappeared from my feed. So, I am using the Peakd app now.

No wonder I didn’t see your posts for two weeks! I thought several people had a break as the crypto market was rather sleepy.

Your addiction to photography keep you active and alert to any changes in your surroundings. The old architecture in your hometown makes it very interesting and full of history. Even on a wet winter day, the old buildings seem to be quietly watching over the place and waiting for changes in the weather. There’s something mysterious in this grey lighting.

Yes, unfortunately when the work on the apps is going on things like this can happen. 😀 Going through this It's great training in coolness and patience. I, on the other hand, have had problems with Peakd for quite some time. Can't see the posts and comments there, but can still access the wallet. When I clear some stuff in the computer it works for a day or two and then it doesn't work again. 😂 Fortunately there are enough apps in the system that at least one always works fine.

Its nice to see your hometown. The wee church looks lovely !

Nice pictures bro...
That church looks like the same one in your earlier posts...
Is it?

True. 😆 That's blogging.
Yes, the church appeared before, and not only once.

Ahhh😂😂
I knew it looked familiar
