Hello Everyone,
The Big Mack Superstar cannabis is sixty days into flowering cycle and the buds are undergoing the final maturation process as we speak.
I've been feeling the urge to harvest, and there is absolutely no doubt that we are at a harvestable point, but doing so could result in loss of yield and overall potency. This is a very debatable and preference based topic amongst cannabis cultivators. Some may think I am crazy to wait longer, while others may be gasping a sigh of relief to hear that we are likely going one more week with this grow.
A week seems like a long time when right at the end, but we've been caring for this plant since its birth in the beginning of April, and it's important to maximize this plants potential yield to the fullest and give her the respect to allow her to finish showing us her magnificent beauty. It just wouldn't be fair for me to hastily chop her down because of my desire to wanna hurry up and try this dank weed out.
I recently received a 600 watt Kingbrite LED panel from @jonyoudyer, which was packaged very nicely and arrived pretty quickly. Big thank you Jon for being such a supportive fellow cannabis cultivator and amazing community motivator and mentor, people like you make Hive the amazing place that it is!
This light is no joke and helped me get familiar with my fuse box (not circuit breakers) in less than 24 hours. It is so powerful that fans audibly hum down when I rotate the power up on the LED driver and I refuse to run it past 70% power and maintain a watchful eye over everything during running hours.
Extensive consideration and safety precautions must be at the forefront of attentive thought when embarking on indoor cultivation at this level, and it is certainly possible to write a book on all of the considerations and variables applied to the considerations. Limitation becomes a consideration at a certain point, one which has been met in my case, but I intend to move past this limitation in the future with what I am currently going to do in the present with this cultivation unit.
The photos really cannot give justice to the massive yield on this Big Mack Superstar, but I'm sure the scales will reflect after she is dried.
Now we have a lot more power and top market LED's, let's see where things go from here.
That will do it for this indoor gardening update.
What do you all think of how things are coming along?
I would love to read your thoughts in the comments!
Thank you for stopping by, -@futuremind

So relieved that light got In safely! It sure is no joke. Also your right so many things to consider when getting a light like this that you really don’t even think of at first until you get it. For me o had the how room away from the window, and I installed it thinking it was going to be a plug and play type of thing, well nope. I ended up having to move tent to an area I could pump air out of the room.
It took a couple trial and errors, and eventually had it up and running. You will too, but the fuse thing is a different issue. You will figure it out.
Thanks a lot man, it's definitely in another class.
Yep, my entire apartment heats up from it, even on 70%, it pumps..
I can't wait to see what your BMS clones do under this thing.
I also need to prepare for the MM and SM ;D
Only a grower knows the right time for his plants. I personally think, you can wait a week or two.
I agree with you @artisto, I also feel there's an energetic occurrence that happens when a community is involved in a garden. A digital interface may not be the same as physical interaction, but the lovely energy that the community expresses towards this plant has a vicarious affect I believe. It is not just me driving this, you are too :)
Ooooo Baby! Those pics are making my mouth water, figuratively speaking. If only my lungs would let me...
Dude! You have a FUSE BOX? Are they the very old 'screw in' glass fuses? If so, how on earth do you find replacements? That is what was in the house I grew up in until I sold it in 2000, the new owner redid the panel.
I need to do some extensive elec. work here in this 82 yr old house. I don't have fuses, but the panel is clearly not clearly marked.
AND I have a dire shortage of outlets.
Ah well.

Hey Jerry, thank you for the kind words!
Yes these are the old glass screw in fuses LOL. There were a few new ones in the basement, but only a few. I am not sure how easy they would be to find, it's interesting to think about now that you've mentioned it. I bet they are not hanging in plain sight in the local hardware store. They may need to be special ordered.
The good part of owning your home is you have some control over the issues with your panel. You could choose to fix it up or leave it as it is, upgrade it, etc. There are a few negative aspects I suppose, like having to be responsible for everything in your house working. As a person who rents I do not have the option to upgrade the electric, and am at the mercy of however long it takes for the rental company to fix things. Personally I would rather be 100% responsible for these things.
I'm pretty sure you could get replacements from Amazon, or some online supplier.
As you said, it isn't your responsibility, BUT if a fuse goes out, you will be in the dark unless you have replacements on hand.
If it were me, I wouldn't depend solely on the rental agency for that.
I certainly don't think they would pay you back if you bought some, just in case, but I also don't think they would cover your damaged equipment and/or loss of productivity by being without power for some period of time.
Good luck Jacob, just be sure you don't put any pennies under those fuses, or wrap them in tin foil.
That would be shocking
We see this exactly the same Jerry, it was a big of a debate in the house though. I think I should have some extra fuses but someone disagrees and sees it as a waste of money. I'm futuremind though... hahaha
Thanks Jerry 🤗
Well the good news is, they do not seem as hard to find nor as expensive as I'd suspected

Can cannabis be used with tea?
Decarboxylation would have to take place first, which is heating up the herb material at 230 degrees F, for 30 min. Then what Loonatic said.
that is certainly possible. add a little bit of milk then the thc adheres to the fats of the milk.
It can be used with virtually anything! :)
I would say you're right on to wait a little bit. They look like very lovely ladies! The light is sweet. I'm thinking about switching my lights from hps to led but money is my issue right now. Very nice man! keep up the good work!
Thanks bro, I waited a little longer. I just harvested, feeling really good about the timing and everything went great :)
Hello my friend,. I love watching your plants thrive. Looks like you took very good care of them. I am also very impressed with your plant maintenance techniques. Have a nice day , @futuremind.
Thank you for the kind words my friend,
I just finished with the harvest :)

OMG ... harvest that plant now 😆 🤣
I knew that was coming 😂
I know you're impatient like me, but you'll probably agree in the end that it was worth the wait ;)
I wish I had harvested mine 5 days earlier
This seems subliminal
Naw.. the Blueberry went 10 days to long imo.. only the Banner was harvested at the optimum time
No cinnamon-colored trichomes are visible in the photos yet. But maybe in the photo you can't see them well. Those buds are a marvel.

They are just starting :)
She's a frosty girl, thank you for the kind words my friend.
I also had dark black spots on my leaves. But looks great. you have a nice harvest. And a really nice weed💪
The yield looks good but I think the cannabis plants are underused. I am afraid to consume it because it is unsafe. I'm hesitating.
I am unsure of what you mean? Underused?
Why would you be afraid to consume the futuremind's cannabis, you think it is unsafe? I'm curious to understand why.
