The three photos I uploaded for this post was taken 2 years ago this week. The pictures themselves may not say much, but the meaning on why and where means a lot.

The picture of my fiancé Tiffany and I was taken on this date in 2020 and we had just done a morning run in our community. This was a few months after Tiffa, her boys and I had gotten COVID and thankfully the boys didn't suffer as much as her and I did. With all that said and although we still battled some long COVID symptoms we were feeling much better.

I can't be certain, but it's possible that workout spots were still closed and we were doing the home workouts and running most mornings while we waited until the fitness studio reopened. I could be off with the timing on this.

This same week we had just gotten back from a weekend away at Cocoa Beach. We thought, that although there were still lockdowns in place that there were some hotels that were available and being by the beach would be a great way to get some air after being cooped up for months, more so, Tiffa's boys. This I remember clearly on why we decided to go on this getaway.

I took photos from the room overlooking the area and that is what the other two pictures I posted are from.

That week was a huge step for us, because Tiffa and I were mentally drained and although we were getting back into our fitness routine; we still had some issues to deal with.

Fast forward to this week and as Tiffa and I get closer to hitting the fitness studio after 3 months recovering from the accident and putting in some sweat under the orange lights, it's very reminiscent of that feeling we had two years ago today

The photos were taken with my current iPhone10 XR which I believe was practically brand new around that time.

For how long are you into running?

@acesontop - about 9 years ago I decided to change my life and focus on my health and fitness. One year into that, over 8 years ago, I joined Orangetheory Fitness. That changed my life. Before HIVE that was my passion. Now I share that passion with HIVE. My first year at OTF there was a 5K in that area at the time. I believe it was one of the holiday runs set up by Track Shack and with the OTF HIIT workouts I got some confidence to run it. So you can say, I've been running for a good 7 years. The best run I've completed was a half marathon. I did two others one I missed the mark by a mile and the other was after COVID and I just didn't have the stamina to finish so only ran 7 miles of it. My 5K and 10K times are respectable. When I was younger my physical activity was based on partying, so needless to say I am able to do in my fifties I sucked at doing in my twenties. LOL. Also, after the accident and being out of in therapy for three months I'm not sure how my body will react, but I'm ready to give it a shot :-)

Nice story. Good luck!

Great photos Jimmy, you two look so happy there! Only when you said that you were actually suffering from the long Covid symptoms at the time, it made me realize the whole story means a lot to us all. It really was a scary time, but you survived! Thank you for sharing!

Thank You Ray. Appreciate ya!!

get closer to hitting the fitness studio...

How close, can you feel it, can you smell it? 😁

Came here from ListNerds!

It is always good to look back at how we handled situations in the past.
If it worked then, it would work now.

Why haven't you put up a countdown clock for your HIIT workout?
