A new season of the awesome series ‘Below Deck’ started again. For the people who are not familiar with this awesome piece of guilty pleasure, if you are into watching boats, nice views from the water, drama on board and people who are over eager to spend a crap load of money, you will love this. I don’t know if it is the drama that is the best thing to watch with the whole crew hooking up with each other and guests getting shit faced while they literally take a trip “that wasn’t even that special but is awesome to brag about”, but it is just easy to digest and perfect for an easy setting when the attention span isn’t that long.

But apart from that it is also a good reminder that being on boats and hanging around exploring for a bit is just a really cool thing to do. There is absolutely no reason why that has to be in some kind of fancy yacht situation, while actually just hopping around on whatever boats is the chillest thing to do ever.

I mean just look at the views that boats can bring you just from taking a step back from the land and seeing how beautiful it all is. And the silence that comes with it, missing out everything that happens around you. You are just in your own little bubble and that is fantastic.

Watching a bit of ‘Below Deck’ again in the evenings that it is still pouring is a really sweet reminder that it is really time to hit the outdoors again. I am aiming for a couple of boating theoretics in the short future so I can also legally drive (which is an interesting thing…reading a book and taking some classes doesn’t make you a safe skipper but that is a whole different story) a boat.

But honestly…when you grew up on land with not a lot of land around you, that is still a whole new chapter of theoretics and I need the time to dive in there. Rules, more rules, and even more rules. And honestly….when you are on a boat in Holland where there is big traffic….it is not even a bad thing to have a couple of rules in there since boats always have delays and weather is a really important aspect in there.

So yeah…Diving back in!

Yes, I am experimenting with some affiliate marketing so when you buy something on Amazon like this sailing course with these links, I might get something out of it.
