Having tried the really delicious beef from Misato, I decided to head back again to try some other dishes.

I went back with a friend this time to ensure that I could at least taste a few more dishes at a go. My picks for the day were their Okonomiyaki, Tamagoyaki and Sanshoku Warabi Mochi. A main, a side and a dessert. That should be quite manageable. :)

Lets start off with the Okonomiyaki. It is basically a savoury Japanese pancake made with some vegatable fillings and wrapped with an egg. This version had pork belly fillings and it was drizzled with a generous serving of their special sauce. It came served piping hot on a cast iron hotplate. The server also kindly sliced it up for us so that we could enjoy it in a better bite sized portion. It was really "thick" and filled generously with all those fillings. This was definitely oneof the better Okonomiyakis that I've tried out there.

The next thing we tried was the Tamagoyaki. It is a japanese style rolled omelette, with some roe toppings. It was very nicely presented on crescent shaped plate/bowl/what would you call that? Taste wise, it was pretty good, but I don't think it stood out compared to most of the Japanese restaurants that I've tried at before. Of course, eggs are just eggs, so there only that much of a difference one can make with them.

The last item was dessert! A perfect way to finish the meal. Sanshoku Warabi Mochi means "3 coloured" warabi mochi. As expected, there were 3 colours/flavours - Goma (black sesame), Kinako (yellow flour made from ground soybeans), and Matcha (green tea). This was one of their specialties and it really showed. The taste was delicate and the mochi was perfectly textured. Their attention to detail also meant that they provided a framed "instruction sheet" on how one should properly eat this particular dish! :D

Once again, this was a really satisfying meal and the restaurant has lived up to it's reputation again. I will definitely be coming back to try out more of their items on the menu. Some of them are really interesting, not to mention served in some really interesting serving platters (for lack of a better word). Let's hope I can continue to convince some partners to accompany me or I will never be able to work through the entire menu.

It is. But there's always lots of instructions to "handle with care". Makes me afraid of accidentally damaging them. :)
