A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of visiting Makinacrea, a very nice house that was converted into a space for cultural encounters, becoming a place in Caracas where only original music groups perform.
I had never been to Makinacrea before but I had heard a lot about the place, and on this first visit I was able to attend as a musician and perform at the venue as a member of Jorge Andres' band, where we performed the showcase of his new EP titled "No hay suficiente espacio de almacenamiento". In total we played 11 songs and the audience received us with much affection, soon I will bring you some videos of the presentation of that day.
Being there I realized that it is full of ornaments and curious details, the bathroom for example is full of stickers everywhere, in the concert room there is a statue of an astronaut with many arms, in the fireplace there is a mannequin thrown with lights, and in another part of the house there was a super nintendo where you could play for free.
The only complicated thing is the location, since it is by La Lagunita inside and to get there you need a vehicle. The other thing is that it is very cold, so you have to dress properly. Otherwise, I found it a very nice place to go to listen to new and emerging musical proposals of the city.

Hace unas semanas tuve el gusto de conocer Makinacrea, una casa muy bonita que fue convertida en un espacio para el encuentro cultural, convirtiéndose en un local de Caracas donde se presentan únicamente agrupaciones de música original.
Yo nunca antes había estado en Makinacrea pero había oido hablar mucho del sitio, y en esta primera visita pude asistir como músico y presentarme en el local como miembro de la banda de Jorge Andrés, donde realizamos el showcase de su nuevo EP titulado “No hay suficiente espacio de almacenamiento”. En total tocamos 11 temas y el público nos recibió con mucho cariño, pronto les traeré algunos videos de la presentación de ese día.
Estando allí me di cuenta que esta lleno de adornos y detalles curiosos, el baño por ejemplo está repleto de stickers por todas partes, en la sala de conciertos hay una estatua de astronauta con muchos brazos, en la chimenea hay un maniquí tirado con luces, y en otra parte de la casa había un super nintendo donde podías jugar gratis.
Lo único complicado es la ubicación, ya que queda por La Lagunita adentro y para llegar allí se necesita obligatoriamente un vehículo. Lo otro es que hace mucho frío, así que hay que ir bien abrigado. De resto, me resultó un lugar muy bonito donde ir a escuchar propuestas musicales nuevas y emergentes de la ciudad.
