Leveling the soil around the house we find a lot of mycelium. Mycelium is somewhat like the root system of mushrooms.

Of course we gather all this and throw it where the garden will be for this year. Did you know that plants depend on fungi to obtain their nutrients? If you find mycelium in the ground then you should throw it near your garden to help your plants thrive.

These are some of the plants that still survive in the harsh weather from last year's garden. We've been taking care of them in hopes that they might survive the winter.

These brussels didn't grow so well, but they are still surviving despite the cold so we're interested in seeing how far they can make it.

Broccolis had been harvested and were practically dead, but we've been cleaning up the dead leaves, adding new soil, and they have managed to show more vitality as well as new shoots.

Closer up look.

Brrr, such cold days lately, yet that's no reason to give up. We continue building and preparing the soil for what will be our garden this year once spring gifts us with its brighter and warmer days.

We're still getting the hang of liketu.com so we'd be happy to receive suggestions on how to make better posts.

Hope you enjoyed our little tour of a few things we got going on at the moment.

More coming soon, thanks for your time!
