Yesterday we went to the National Museum of Singapore to see The Doraemon Exhibition.
I am a fan of Doraemon myself, so I bought my daughter a complete set of Doraemon comic books when she was very young. Sometimes I would read these comic books with my daughter and marvel at the wild imagination of the stories together, while also being touched by the warmth of the friendship in the stories.
The Doraemon Exhibition has been on display since 2017, and this is the first time it has been outside of Japan, and I feel lucky to see so many things from the comic books come to life in front of me in Singapore.
In this exhibition, I saw many artists recreate the image of Doraemon. I really like these artworks and I am happy that Doraemon's image has endured.
My favorite part of this exhibition was Mr. Fujiko F. Fujio's workbench. I thought it was going to be a very wide table, but it was actually just the normal size. It made me think that all people are equal, and that anyone can be brave enough to pursue a dream as long as we still have it in our hearts.
May the imagination and love that Doraemon brings to us live forever.
