Una vez escuché que destruir es más fácil que construir, en primera instancia entro a mi mente, sin embargo, asimilar y digerir este conocimiento conllevó un proceso arduo de racionamiento que quedó marcado en mi psiquis.
Lo cierto es que cuando visito a Curarigua y llego a club social "Campo Alegre", del primo Vidal Guedez, me encuentro en presencia de un verdadero constructor de la vida.
Vidal construyó el club a pie de una montaña donde nadie se imaginaba, se podía edificar ni la más mínima obra. El fuego fue protagonista para cortar las piedras, donde se encuentra la pista de baile, la piscina, la cocina y más reciente el patio de bola.
Más allá de lo material, lo más valioso fue continuar el legado de la familia Guedez, Puerta, junto a su esposa Elsa, sus hijos y allegados. El nombre Vidal Guedez resuena mucho más allá del valle de Curarigua, sus hijos y nietos han sido bendecidos más de una vez por el simple hecho de ser miembros de esta familia que ha entregado tanto sin esperar nada a cambio.
La pasión del primo es construir, jamás se ha detenido en su pasión de aportar y sumar. Con sus aproximados 90 años de existencia, todavía sigue dando vida y utilidad a sus habilidades, conocimiento y destreza. Mientras escribo esto, él está ahí con su paciencia y tranquilidad, midiendo y cortando la madera para realizar estás hermosas sillas. ¡Una experiencia maravillosa para mí!

Once I heard that destroying is easier than building, at first it entered my mind, however, assimilating and digesting this knowledge entailed an arduous process of rationing that was marked in my psyche.
The truth is that when I visited Curarigua and arrived at the social club "Campo Alegre", owned by my cousin Vidal Guedez, I found myself in the presence of a true builder of life.
Vidal built the club at the foot of a mountain where nobody imagined that even the smallest work could be built. The fire was the protagonist to cut the stones, where the dance floor, the swimming pool, the kitchen and more recently the ball court are located.
Beyond the material, the most valuable thing was to continue the legacy of the Guedez family, Puerta, together with his wife Elsa, their children and relatives. The name Vidal Guedez resonates far beyond the Curarigua Valley, his children and grandchildren have been blessed more than once by the simple fact of being members of this family that has given so much without expecting anything in return.
Cousin's passion is to build, he has never stopped in his passion to contribute and add up. At about 90 years old, he is still giving life and utility to his skills, knowledge and abilities. As I write this, he is there with his patience and tranquility, measuring and cutting the wood to make these beautiful chairs, a wonderful experience for me!

En Julio cumple 91 años en nombre de Dios. Me lo comentó más tarde. Es un ser especial. Definitivamente, mis palabras quedaron cortas para él.
