RE: Fruit time!

in Hive Gardening • 2 years ago

It was funny, but I really don't see picking redcurrants as a hard and demanding job.

It depends how many you have 😜, we have more than 3, around 15 actually, so it is a bit of work.

I'm a bit shocked to see figs. I did not know it can be grown around here. How cold is winter over there?

I envy those tomatoes as we only have greens right now. I suppose two weeks is still needed.

Congrats for the garden and greetings to your parents!🙂

oh, with 15 shrubs I would complain too :P

Yes, figs. There were several trees, many of them died during some of the cold winters. How cold the winters are here? It can go to -20 degrees of Celsius and even colder during some nights in cold winters. But usually, it is not for the whole winter, still the fig tree has to be wrapped and protected from that cold.

The tomatoes are excellent. Different types and shapes and times of ripening. Always happens that when we are here and eat every day these tomatoes from the garden, later I just refuse to eat those untasty ones from the supermarkets. The difference is huge, so I prefer to skip the tomatoes if I can't have them in this home edition. ;)
