First of all, say hello and introduce myself:
I am Angel Eduardo Castro González, I write from Caracas, Venezuela. I am an engineer and a musician. Although lately I have dedicated myself to the guitar and sing the medicine music genre, my main instrument is the cello, and with it I have played in orchestras and different groups, but for some time now I have also wanted to use the cello to interpret music that It is not original to the instrument, such as the one I want to share with you today: QUINTA ANAUCO by the composer ALDEMARO ROMERO.

Primero que nada, saludarlos y presentarme:
Soy Angel Eduardo Castro González, escribo desde Caracas, Venezuela. Soy ingeniero y músico. Aunque últimamente me he dedicado a la guitarra y cantar el género de música medicina, mi instrumento principal es el violoncello, y con él he tocado en orquestas y diferentes agrupaciones, pero de un tiempo para acá también he querido utilizar el cello para interpretar música que no es original del instrumento, como por ejemplo la que hoy les quiero compartir: QUINTA ANAUCO del compositor ALDEMARO ROMERO.
Aldemaro Romero is one of the most important composers in Venezuela, and Latin America. He studied in Venezuela, but he not only made music here, his talent led him to compose and record in different countries of the world such as the United States and England, interacting with musicians such as: Terig Tucci, Pablo Ruiz, Rafael "Fafa" Lemos, René Touzet, Alfredo Sadel, Benny Moré, Dean Martin, Jerry Lee Lewis, Stan Kenton, Astor Piazzola, Juan Gabriel, Armando Manzanero and Tito Puente, among others.
But the significance of Aldemaro (as a personal opinion), is to have developed a completely new musical genre: LA ONDA NUEVA. It certainly didn't come out of nowhere, it has influences from joropo, jazz and bossanova, but it's something totally different. Among the most important works of this genre are: Carretera, De repente, El gavilán, Tonta, gafa, and boba.
Aldemaro Romero es uno de los compositores mas importantes de Venezuela, y latinoamérica. Estudió en Venezuela, pero no solo hizo música acá, su talento lo llevó a componer y grabar en diferentes países del mundo como Estados Unidos e Ingleterra, interactuando con músicos como: Terig Tucci, Pablo Ruiz, Rafael "Fafa" Lemos, René Touzet, Alfredo Sadel, Benny Moré, Dean Martin, Jerry Lee Lewis, Stan Kenton, Astor Piazzola, Juan Gabriel, Armando Manzanero y Tito Puente, entre otros.
Pero la trascendencia de Aldemaro (como opinión personal), es haber desarrollado un género musical completamente nuevo: LA ONDA NUEVA. Ciertamente no salió de la nada, tiene influencias del joropo, el Jazz y la bossanova, pero es algo totalmente distinto. Entre las obras mas importantes de este género se encuentran: Carretera, De repente,El gavilán, Tonta, gafa, y boba.

Quinta Anauco is not the Onda nueva genre, but it is a beautiful melody !!
