Rise and Run: Mornings Are the Best Time to Hit the Road

BANNER.jpg

There is truly something magical about going outside early in the morning, having your first few steps, and engaging your body as the sun rises. A morning run had been my way of starting the day, before accomplishing tasks as someone working in the corporate world and a blog content writer.

It was around 6:00 in the morning when I decided to start fresh, running as a mental reset. I hit the road early, with only a few people around me since most were still asleep.

The moment I started walking and running, I could feel the heat all over my body. I could feel it warming me up, and, of course, the soreness in my muscles started too, from my feet up to my legs.

Since I am not a pro runner and just started again recently, I am still not that fast. I am in the phase where I jog, then walk to rest. Then I started sweating on my face, arms, and the rest of my body. Indeed, I am challenging my body quite well.

My phone shows how many kilometers I have run so far, and I have a goal of hitting 5 kilometers. Along the way, I pass a beautiful wildflower in yellow. It was just across the street, so I stopped for a while to capture some photos. I was already around 3 kilometers at this point.

At the 4th kilometer, I was already hyped and energetic, making me want to take selfies. Of course, I did. I stopped for a few minutes and embraced the beautiful scene behind me. Even though I could feel the tiredness, I still made sure to smile as I continued running.

As I enjoy challenging myself, I also appreciate the place we live in - peaceful and safe for runners like me. I also wanted to show everyone that while running, I got to embrace a morning with nature. The trees are saying hello, and the mountain landscapes make it so much better.

At my 6th kilometer, I was already seeing the beautiful river here. We live just a few more minutes away. Despite living here for years, I still feel mesmerized by the amazing nature we have. I could feel the tiredness all over my body, but as I let my sweats fall, I gave myself a moment of calm, embracing the nature before me.

And as someone who just started running again, I really felt proud of myself for running almost 7 kilometers this morning. It made my mind feel refreshed, and I also got to connect with nature. Overall, it was a very satisfying moment that I look forward to continuing as part of my daily routine.
