This was my first run when I returned to my hometown at the end of last year. There's always an unusual adjustment period when moving to a new place. Especially the atmosphere, such as the mood or air temperature. Even though my village is not located in a mountainous area with low temperatures, the morning air in the countryside is very refreshing and cooler than the air in the city where I live.

So that day, after dawn, I started preparing my clothes and other equipment that I would use for running. It was only when it was almost six o'clock that I started warming up. The sky was starting to brighten, so I began running along a route through the northern part of my village.
The nice thing about the village is that there aren't many vehicles on the road this early in the morning, so I can run freely even on the main road. Occasionally, I would pass farmers on their way to the fields or a few people out for a walk.
From the first kilometre to the last, my pace was around 7 or 8 minutes per kilometre. This initial adaptation was quite tough. I felt the air around me was heavy. Even though I had slept well the night before. Nevertheless, I was grateful for whatever I did this morning.

I stopped at minute 33:24 with an average pace of 8:06/km and a total distance of 4 kilometres. It’s okay, I managed to get through this well. Thank you for reading my post.

This is my running journal for 29 December 2025.

Hi, I am the child of the universe, I like to read books with various genres. I was born in the city of batik but can't draw batik yet. I want to be a novelist, but my works are only short poems that are included in anthology books.
