Some Letters, Some Words, Some Sentences, Some Moments to Tell it All.

in GEMSlast year

Okay so today I'll be sharing some statements I heard or read over the past few months that I literally saved either because I found them funny or because they captured strong emotions.

  1. "I am a mechanic cooker. I need machines to cook."

This first statement was made by one of my elder sisters, Akpevwe, and I really found it funny. We were having a family group call and and we wanted to find out who was doing most of the cooking at home; turned out it was my mum. And when we tried to shade her for not being the one, this was her hilarious response.

  1. "Our friendship feels like a square peg in a round hole, but it fits, perfectly!"

Reading this statement got me thinking, "It'll make a perfect blog post!" Well, I may still do a whole separate blog post for this though. Let's see how it goes.
This statement was a caption by a friend of mine, Collins who was celebrating his friend, Daniel. I feel this statement really tells a lot about their friendship and I fell in love with this statement, the moment I read it.

  1. "I see a glimpse of her in every sunset. One look at her and your heart burns differently."

Now, this statement is a quote from a Nigerian poet I know, Kaptain Codedwaka. I love poetry, to read it, write it and recite it. And this quote here, really stood out for me, especially the last two words: "burns differently." I can only imagine what emotions provoked such words🙂!

So, that's it for now. I'll be back with more statements or quotes that stand out for me in my everyday life. Let me know which is your favourite from the listed three above😊.
