Testing a new camera

Hola amigos, hoy les quiero compartir un poco de lo que es la cámara de este celular nuevo que compre es de la marca Tecno spark 40C, ya tenía claro que la cámara no era su fuerte, pero soy de las que piensa que no se necesita una cámara demasiado buena para tomar buenas fotografías, aunque aun estoy explorando como manejar esa nueva cámara, no ha sido facil.

Hi everyone, today I want to share a little bit about the camera on this new phone I bought—the Tecno Spark 40C. I knew going in that the camera wasn’t its strong suit, but I’m one of those people who thinks you don’t need a top-of-the-line camera to take good photos. Even though I’m still figuring out how to use this new camera, it hasn’t been easy.

Las fotos salen bastante bien con mucha luz sobre todo luz del día, pero en lugares menos iluminados se ve bastante mal, los colores son un poco desaturados y la textura de las cosas parece verse muy “HDR” Sin tener activada esa opción.

The photos come out pretty well in bright light—especially in daylight—but in dimmer settings, the quality is pretty poor; the colors are a bit desaturated, and the texture of objects looks very “HDR”-like even though that option isn’t enabled.

Este celular cuenta con una cámara trasera de 13MP y una cámara delantera de 8MP, como les dije… los colores se ven un poco apagados, me di cuenta sobre todo cuando le tome fotos a mi gatito, en mi antiguo celular siempre sale bastante nítido y con buen color… Sin embargo, considero que se ve bastante bien y quizás con los ajustes correctos podría capturar una foto muchísimo mejor.

This phone has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. As I mentioned… the colors look a little dull; I really noticed it when I took pictures of my kitten. On my old phone, the photos always came out pretty sharp and with good color… However, I think it looks pretty good, and maybe with the right settings I could take a much better photo.

Y aunque en lugares no tan iluminados la calidad baja considerablemente, logre captar unas fotos que me gustaron mucho de mi gatito viendo hacia el sol usando el modo PRO, el cual descubrí después de un buen rato de tomar fotos jaja ni me había dado cuenta, tambien tiene una opción de cámara IA donde te toma 4 fotos y te cambia el peinado y vestuario pero es bastante bizarro, te pone caras de otras personas.

And even though the quality drops significantly in dimly lit areas, I managed to take some photos I really liked of my kitten looking toward the sun using PRO mode—which I only discovered after taking photos for a while, haha, I hadn’t even noticed it. It also has an AI camera option that takes four photos and changes your hairstyle and outfit, but it’s pretty weird—it puts other people’s faces on you.

Captar atardeceres es lo que mas me gusta y lo probe ayer al atardecer, la cuestión es que el encuadre no me gusto mucho y además el cielo tenia una pequeña luz rosa al final que no se veía demasiado en esta cámara.

Capturing sunsets is what I love most, and I tried it yesterday at sunset. The thing is, I didn't really like the composition, and besides, the sky had a faint pink glow at the edge that didn't show up very well on this camera.

Y finalmente la cámara de selfie que, si me gusto bastante, se ve incluso mejor que mi celular antiguo, aunque en modo retrato como podrán apreciar en esa foto, el fondo se pone borroso, pero a veces no cubre por completo todo el fondo asi que termina viéndose una mancha extraña.- Aun asi me pareció bueno por su precio, teniendo en cuenta que no busca ser un celular de gama alta… De igual manera, mi celular Xiaomi aun enciende de vez en cuando jaja y lo usare cuando necesite fotos muy especificas ya que su cámara es insuperable.

And finally, the selfie camera—which I actually really liked—takes even better photos than my old phone. Although, as you can see in that photo, the background blurs in portrait mode, but sometimes it doesn’t completely cover the entire background, so you end up with a weird smudge. Still, I thought it was good for the price, considering it’s not meant to be a high-end phone… That said, my Xiaomi phone still turns on every now and then, haha, and I’ll use it when I need very specific photos since its camera is unbeatable.
