Trying to stay sane in difficult times

Han sido días muy estresantes, siento que nuestras vidas han cambiado muchísimo y extraño la normalidad de hace unos meses atrás, últimamente hay cosas que salen bastante mal, pero intentamos siempre reír a pesar de las dificultades. La ultima cosa que me paso ayer fue algo que en cualquier momento iba a pasar, pero eligió pasar en la época equivocada jaja. Mi celular tenia meses con la pantalla colgando, yo lo sostenía con cinta adhesiva porque realmente no tengo confianza en los técnicos de celulares, pensaba que quizás me dañarían mas el celular, pero ayer tuve un accidente cuando intentaba hacer una manualidad y mi teléfono cayo al suelo y finalmente se termino de desprender.

These past few days have been very stressful. I feel like our lives have changed so much, and I miss the normalcy of a few months ago. Lately, things have been going quite wrong, but we always try to laugh despite the difficulties. The last thing that happened to me yesterday was something that was bound to happen eventually, but it chose to happen at the wrong time, haha. My phone's screen had been hanging off for months. I was holding it up with tape because I really don't trust phone repair technicians. I thought they might damage it even more, but yesterday I had an accident while trying to do a craft project, and my phone fell to the floor and finally came completely off.

Aunque intente arreglarlo no tuve éxito, asi que me toco ir a un técnico inmediatamente para poder solucionar esto, por suerte conseguí un lugar muy cerca de casa donde tuve que pagar $30 para repararlo, quizás parezca poco, pero en la situación actual que estamos $30 es bastante dinero para mí. Me dolió pagarlo pero era mejor eso que comprar un celular nuevo que para mi seria imposible

Although I tried to fix it myself, I wasn't successful, so I had to go to a technician immediately to get it fixed. Luckily, I found a place very close to home where I only had to pay $30 to repair it. It might not seem like much, but in the current situation, $30 is a lot of money for me. It hurt to pay it, but it was better than buying a new phone, which would be impossible for me.

Y lo peor fue que tuve que esperar un día completo para repararlo ya que tenían que buscar el repuesto etc… Por suerte solo se daño la pantalla y no fue algo mas grave, hoy fuimos después del mediodía y aun no estaba listo, eso me molesto bastante porque no entendía el motivo por el cual tardaban tanto en arreglar una pantalla. Mi esposo me acompaño y dimos una vuelta por todos los alrededores de la tienda esperando que nos llamaran, pasaron dos horas donde caminamos y esperamos pacientemente a pesar de que ya se me estaba agotando la paciencia.

And the worst part was that I had to wait a whole day for it to be repaired because they had to find the replacement part, etc. Luckily, only the screen was damaged and it wasn't anything more serious. Today we went back after noon and it still wasn't ready, which really annoyed me because I didn't understand why it took so long to fix a screen. My husband came with me and we walked all around the store waiting for them to call us. Two hours passed while we walked and waited patiently, even though my patience was wearing thin.

Finalmente me entregaron mi celular y se siente muy extraño, aun no logro acostumbrarme a la nueva pantalla, es increíble como uno se acostumbra a las cosas y piensas que al reemplazarlas no notaras la diferencia, pero en mi caso si la note y bastante. Me siento muy desconfiada de usar mi celular muy seguido siento que esta delicado y frágil, antes se sentía muy fuerte, por ahora todo va bien algunos detalles de tacto en las esquinas pero no son demasiado graves, pero si bastante incomodos, voy a esperar esta semana a ver que tal me siento con este cambio y esperar que no haya algún otro problema ya que me dieron garantía de 18 días.

I finally got my phone back, and it feels really strange. I still haven't gotten used to the new screen. It's amazing how you get used to things and think that when they're replaced you won't notice the difference, but in my case, I definitely noticed it, and quite a lot. I'm very hesitant to use my phone too often; it feels delicate and fragile. Before, it felt so sturdy. For now, everything is fine, with a few minor tactile issues on the corners, but they're not too serious, though they are quite annoying. I'm going to wait this week to see how I feel about the change and hope there aren't any other problems since they gave me an 18-day warranty.
