La verdad, admito que no es sencillo hallar de qué escribir, pero me siento bastante bien y feliz cuando encuentro un tema del que hablar y del que a su vez, disfruto. Espero que ustedes también logren disfrutarlo.

Casi siempre hablamos del cielo, del mar, las estrellas, flores, nubes, etc. Pero, hablemos de lo infravalorados que están los árboles. Hay unas 60.050 especies de árboles en el mundo, de distintos tamaños, colores y ciclos de vida, con un sinnúmero de formas en sus hojas, ramas y diversos patrones en sus troncos.
We almost always talk about the sky, the sea, the stars, flowers, clouds, etc. But let's talk about how undervalued trees are. There are about 60,050 species of trees in the world, of different sizes, colors and life cycles, with countless shapes in their leaves, branches and various patterns in their trunks.
No sé si soy sólo yo, pero ver árboles me relaja. Me parece que los árboles pueden darle vida a un lugar con su sola presencia, sin necesariamente tener que hacer algo. Por ejemplo, un parque o camino en donde antes había un árbol, ahora se ve vacío y seco cuando este no está, incluso si el resto del paisaje o del lugar luce exactamente igual.
I don't know if it's just me, but seeing trees relaxes me. It seems to me that trees can give life to a place with their mere presence, without necessarily having to do something. For example, a park or path where a tree used to be, now looks empty and dry when it's not there, even if the rest of the landscape or place looks exactly the same.

Desde pequeños nos enseñan en la escuela acerca de la función tan importante de los árboles para nuestra existencia y la del medio ambiente en sí. Aprendemos de la capacidad que estos tienen de producir oxígeno absorbiendo el Dióxido de Carbono que expulsamos como desecho de nuestra respiración (el cual es tóxico para nosotros), a través de la fotosíntesis, pero, además de eso ¿Nos hemos puesto a analizar lo extensa que es la importancia de los árboles y lo afortunados que somos de poder verlos y contemplarlos? Es increíble cómo un árbol puede ser más grande que nuestra casa o medir la mitad de nosotros (un sueño hecho realidad para aquellos que miden 1.50 o 1.55 jsjs), o el cómo algunos florecen hermosos en la primavera, mientras que otros no la resisten.
From a young age we are taught in school about the important role of trees for our existence and that of the environment itself. We learn about the ability that they have to produce oxygen by absorbing the Carbon Dioxide that we expel as waste from our breath (which is toxic to us), through photosynthesis, but, besides that, ¿Have we started to analyze how extensive the importance of trees is and how lucky we are to be able to see and contemplate them?It's amazing how a tree can be bigger than our house or half the size of us (a dream come true for those who are 1.50 or 1.55 jsjs), or how some bloom beautifully in the spring, while others can't stand it.
Es bonito cómo un árbol puede formar parte de la vida de una persona de principio a fin. Cómo desde pequeñito, mientras aprendías a caminar, te sentabas a jugar a los pies de aquel árbol con tus juguetes hasta que era la hora de entrar. Luego cuando fuiste un poco más grande, tu padres te pusieron un columpio en una de sus ramas en donde querías pasar todo el día. Tiempo después, habías crecido otro poco, querías una de esas casas del árbol como las de series o películas, pero seguramente tus papás dijeron (con ese típico tono de padres en este tipo de situaciones), que no te harían una, sino cinco JAJAJA; o tal vez corriste con la suerte de que sí te hicieran tu casa, quién sabe jsjs. Cuando saliste de tu niñez para entrar en tu adolescencia, seguro te gustaba sentarte en aquel columpio o a los pies de aquel viejo árbol a pasar el rato leyendo o escuchando música bajo su sombra. Más tarde, cuando conociste a aquella personita que te movió el piso por primera vez, o incluso sólo con tus amigos, hiciste un "picnic" donde se sentaron a comer unas galletas y reír un rato, o sólo hablar... A medida que crecías, ese árbol estaba ahí siempre. O tal vez no ocurrió nada de esto y sólo estaba ese árbol de mango ahí para alegrarte las tardes y la barriga después de almorzar y quedar "fallo". Y luego los casos como yo que crecimos en un apartamento xd. El punto es que estuvo ahí.
It's nice how a tree can be part of a person's life from beginning to end. How since you were little, while you were learning to walk, you would sit down to play at the foot of that tree with your toys until it was time to go inside. Then when you were a little older, your parents put a swing on one of its branches where you wanted to spend the whole day. Some time later, you had grown up a bit, you wanted one of those tree houses like the ones in series or movies, but surely your parents said (with that typical parenting tone in this type of situation), that they would not make you one, but five HAHAHA; or maybe you were lucky that they did make you your house, who knows jsjs. When you left your childhood to enter your adolescence, surely you liked to sit on that swing or at the foot of that old tree to spend time reading or listening to music under its shade. Later, when you met that little person who moved you the floor for the first time, or even just with your friends, you had a "picnic" where you sat down to eat some cookies and laugh for a while, or just talk... As you grew up, that tree was always there. Or maybe none of this happened and there was only that mango tree there to cheer you up in the afternoons and your belly after having lunch and being hungry. And then cases like me, who grew up in an apartment xd. The point is, it was there.
Otro factor a denotar, es el pilar tan fundamental que representan los árboles en la naturaleza. ¿Tienes idea de cuántos animales viven en y por los árboles? Desde abejas que hacen sus panales en ellos, ardillas y pequeños roedores que hacen sus madrigueras o casas dentro de estos, hasta aves que miden la mitad de tu tamaño u otros animales, como felinos del tamaño de una cama, que pasan su tiempo echados en sus ramas... Los árboles son mucho más que materia prima para hacer papel o estantes bonitos.
Another factor to denote is the fundamental pillar that trees represent in nature. ¿Do you have any idea how many animals live in and by trees? From bees that make their combs in them, squirrels and small rodents that make their burrows or houses inside them, to birds that are half your size or other animals, such as felines the size of a bed, that spend their time lying in its branches ... Trees are much more than raw material to make paper or beautiful shelves.
A veces siento que las personas somos como árboles, que aun a pesar de nuestras diferentes características, podemos ser la sombra que proteja del sol a alguien, ese lugar seguro o ese hogar para una persona que así lo sienta y una fuente de alegría y bienestar para nuestros allegados y todos los demás a nuestro alrededor. Eso sí, procura que los frutos que des sean buenos, benignos y lindos, no dañinos... Procura ser un buena árbol.♡
Sometimes I feel that people are like trees, that despite our different characteristics, we can be the shadow that protects someone from the sun, that safe place or that home for a person who feels it and a source of joy and well-being for our loved ones and everyone else around us.
