This is my first art work minted as an NFT, which meant a great leap for me since it has allowed me to get involved in a leading way in this important emerging artistic and cryptographic space.
Some time ago I was familiar with the concept of NFTs, but I confess that it was not until I first started as a collector, buying and trading some, that I understood more broadly the complexity in which the entire ecosystem of smart contracts is involved.
So two months ago I decided to take a leap and share some of my digital creations, hitherto unpublished, in a format that is also different, but closely related to part of my work as a documentary filmmaker.
In this case I decided to do it in the decentralized marketplace of Hic et nunc (now TEIA), of the Tezos blockchain, and I confess that like Hive fam, they are one of my favorite crypto communities, I also consider them plural, heterogeneous, global and decentralized, and of course very talented. So I'm really enjoying being a part of this.
Using the Rotoscopy technique in After Effects and finishing keyframe manipulation and texturing in Photoshop and Illustrator to create an animation in GIF format.
This piece is inspired by the use of the club in a ritual context in the Sones de Negros tradition, which begins with the battle, which is a key representation of a club game, in this case offered to San Antonio.
I minted 10 editions and there are currently two available on the secondary market on TEIA.

Este es mi primer trabajo artístico acuñado como un NFT, lo que significó un gran salto para mi ya que me ha permitido involucrarme de manera protagónica en ese importante espacio artístico y criptográfico emergente.
Hace un tiempo venía familiarizado con el concepto de los NFT, pero confieso que no fue hasta que empecé primero como colector, comprando y comerciando algunos, que entendí de manera más amplia la complejidad en la que está envuelto todo el ecosistema de los contratos inteligentes.
Así que hace tres meses decidí dar un salto y compartir algunas de mis creaciones digitales, hasta ahora inéditas, en un formato también distinto, pero estrechamente relacionado con parte de mi trabajo como documentalista.
En este caso decidí realizarla en el marketplace descentralizado de Hic et nunc (ahora TEIA), de la blockchain Tezos, y confieso que al igual que Hive, son unas de mis comunidades crypto preferidas, también la considero plural, heterogénea, global y descentralizada, y por supuesto muy talentosa. Así que de verdad estoy disfrutando ser parte de esto.
Garrote
Usando la técnica de Rotoscopia en After Effects y terminando de hacer la manipulación y texturización de fotogramas claves en Photoshop e Illustrator para crear una animación en formato GIF,
Esta pieza esta inspirada en el uso del garrote en contexto ritual en la tradición de los Sones de Negros, que se inicia con la batalla que es una representación en clave de juego de garrote en este caso ofrendado a San Antonio.
Acuñé 10 ediciones y actualmente hay dos disponibles en el mercado secundario en TEIA.
