This is a very beautiful story that my third grade teacher read to us in 1998, may Josefa Argüelles rest in peace, thanks to her I always remember this story in particular because that day I had to read it in the classroom with the teacher, my teacher was the best in the world, she was a very sweet and beautiful teacher and she had no children, she said that her children were us, her students, and every day she read a story with the help of a student.

She was one of these teachers that mark your life, because they are so good that teaches you many values with this story I learned that "humility is the most beautiful thing we have in the world" the story is called "La Ratoncita Presumida" in the version of the renowned Venezuelan journalist and essayist "Aquiles Nazoa".

“LA FABULA DE LA RATONCITA PRESUMIDA | THE TALE OF THE SMUG LITTLE MOUSE"

The story that teaches us the importance of humility in living beings, the little mouse Hortensia thinks she is more important than the other mice and is also conceited, her friend Alfredito Mouse falls in love with her and asks her to marry him and Hortensia says no, she wants someone important in her life, she begins to experience situations where she loses her way, she expected to marry someone important but begins to look for impossible loves.

When she began to search she met the sun, the cloud, the wind and the mountain but she did not find the answer because she could not marry any of them - no matter how much power they had for being important for the earth, she was not the right one for them, the sun with the moon, the wind with the sky, the rain with the cloud, the mountain with its river and in the end she arrived where everything should have started, she came to find Alfredo the mouse to tell him that she was sorry and had understood that outside she would not get anyone better than him.

In conclusion, by being selfish, vain and conceited she lost the opportunity to get married, the lack of humility to look for someone she was not going to find, who better to be at her status than the little mouse Alfredo, life always gives us valuable opportunities that we can not waste.

Beautiful story for a little girl who is already beginning to understand some valuable things such as values, in particular humility.
